It's not at all culturally southern is what they mean. In Florida the further north you go the more southern it is.

South Florida is primarily east-coast transplants, Hispanics, and Caribbeans and the culture reflects it.

And then apparently you have folks from Miami-Dade who say anywhere outside of them is Florida. They legit don’t consider themselves part of Florida lol

I used to live in SC and I had a very dope apartment for only $800

I’m from the upstate of sc. I know what I’m talking about lol. It’s the 6th largest city on the state plus most people in the country of Greenville(500k pop) don’t live in the City of Greenville … There’s Mauldin & Greer which are right there. Especially Mauldin.

Yes for poor low skilled women especially Living down south doesn't work. The fact that there's no rent control down south and "Right to work" Laws mess up the equation for a lot of poor people.

if the only draw was cheaper housing and that fades you got everything else that is less convenient to contend with. it's a trap. less resources in all capacity from transportation to employment. much easier to get by in a city struggling than the middle of nowhere. people are going to suffer through this realization
