Chris was playing away games(which is against the mobs rules), constantly turning the other cheek on the drug thing another mob no no, Chris had threatened to snitch multiple times but was talked out of it by civilians, and he despised Tony, Tony and the whole world knew this, Chris would of became a problem had he not been dealt with.......Uncle Jr been had told Tony to kill Chris

Ralph- His mouth got him in trouble there, to kill Tony's top money maker which was pie and rub that shyt in his face, for insurance money, when he's collecting millions on the esplanade/hud. Ralphie simply killed the horse because Tony let him know he fukked his girl.......

Tony B-He had to go, as much as Tony tried to get him back into the fold of things only to be told no over and over, he acts like a free agent and murked phil's brother and almost phil, as much as Tony tried to stay away from NY issues, that shyt put the whole family's head on a swivel, even the shyt in season 6 with Phil the shyt with Tony B was still the root of the issue and Tony knew Phil had a right to chop him down had he wanted to, the reason why Tony always tried to kiss his ass.........

Vito-Had shyt to do with Tony, for one it was Voto who was taking cocks in the ass, and Tony was going to give him a pass, but Vito had to stay in Jersey......Phil murked Vito, Phil also wanted to give him a pass but it was Phils wife who egged him on and lightweight forced him to do it, Phil had a harpy like Bobby did(she also caused his heart attack), tbut she pushed him to take the reigns, as seen with his family he actually was a good guy, and not the super prick that he was when he was with his other family.........

All in all Tony looked out for his friends more than he should have

As Season 6B progresses, Tony becomes more ruthless and further away from his spiritual awakening. He has Bacala commit his first murder out of vindictive spite that Bobby beat him up at the lake house. His paranoia causes him to seriously consider killing Paulie and he later destroys his friendship with Hesh over money and his gambling addiction. Tony also undermines Christopher’s sobriety.

Tony’s deterioration culminates when he kills Christopher in “Kennedy and Heidi” and has no remorse for it afterward. Tony travels to Las Vegas immediately after Christopher’s death; the trip illustrates his descent into moral depravity and deterioration. Tony sleeps with Christopher’s goomar and takes peyote. Tony later vomits in the bathroom toilet which directly links to his earlier bathroom vomiting after he beats up Perry, which began Tony’s post coma moral slide. Later at the casino, Tony wins at roulette and laughs that his luck has changed now that Chris has died. Tony and Christopher’s goomar then wind up out in the Nevada desert, watching the sun come up. Tony stands up and yells “I get it!” He tells Dr. Melfi about this epiphany. However, Tony does not “get” anything. Tony has been given a number of revelations, many in his sessions with Dr. Melfi, but each time he does not significantly act on the epiphanies; the most important of which is his moral awakening after his coma. Tony’s never going to change; he is never going to really “get it.” Tony then says as much to Dr. Melfi when he relays his peyote experience. He tells her that “You think you know. You think you learn something, like when I got shot.” He further tells her that “You come to these thoughts, and almost grab them” but then they are gone (which Tony symbolizes with the wave of his hand under his chin). This represents Tony’s realization that he had to live a better life after he awoke from his coma; however, Tony could not “grab” and hold on to this realization and it is quickly forgotten. Tony in the end is worse than ever before.

Love your observation.

It's so true.

Tony was looking for ANY excuse to whack those closest to him. Just like when he made up the thing just to beat up his bodyguard, Tony is a fukking sociopath. He goes looking for reasons to cause conflict with those closest to him.

that's my money paulie!!!! :dead:

funniest tony scene is when jack massarone is tipped off as snitching and he's like "i'll get to the bottom of this..my old man was great at sniffing this stuff out :smugdraper: etc etc"

then he comes back all angry after finding nothing like  i couldn't find shyt!!!!

Wait, didn't they still kill Jack Massarone anyway?

LOL. That was hilarious. Remember when Tony was gonna clip Johnny Sacs and he sent Christopher and Sil to guy hire those old dues from Boston. It was that weird family of hitmen and one of them was blind. The Boston hitmen ask if they want Johnny Sacs head cut off and shyt. Sil and Chris are like :whoa::whoa: lol

:laff:

A real-life mafia cat approached the writers of "The Sopranos" and was giving them props on the show, except for Tony wearing shorts. That quote is exactly what he said to them, so they put it in the show.

Fred.

:ohhh:

Tony did have that semester and a half at Seton Hall. :youngsabo:
:russ:
The best case of this (being sensitive gangsters) was Tony wacking Jimmy instead of p*ssy in season 1.

Tony let emotions come in over the snitching shyt...he loved p*ssy so much he couldnt imagine him snitching, so he had one conversation with Jimmy and came to an immediate conclusion that Jimmy was snitching and wacked him...:snoop:

all the while...his man p*ssy was the one talking to the feds :snoop:

Americanized Italians are interesting creatures :ld:
Nah, both he and Jimmy were talking to the feds. It wasn't just p*ssy.
:wtf:

nikka clipped Vito cause of his wife, if you watched the show Phil may of been a Bobby type nikka if he didnt have a demonic wife eggign him on, she even caused his heart attack...........
:ohhh: Wait, how did she cause his heart attack? Also, Phil's number 2 kept egging him on as well. Then in the end, the number 2 wanted to back away and Phil was like  His number 2 was always instigating shyt and hyping up Phil to do shyt that he didn't really want to do, like when he wanted Phil to kill Tony and Phil wouldn't do it at first.

the spanish joint he was sleeping with the one whose kid's ran in the room when he started screaming was right...was she in anything else....the way the medium goes he cant hurt you ...:russ:

Pretty sure that was homegirl from Scrubs. Vito's gumar was some bad ass spanish joint, too, who Vito wouldn't ever fukk :mjlol:

but chrissy hit him with the "the way you eat, you'll be dead by 50!" :to:

:to: Yeah, he jinxed him.
artie's wife is one of the few intelligent people in the show. wants nothing to do with the mobsters, was and is wholly unimpressed by tony and his lifestyle, thinks carmella is tacky and in over her head, and sees her husband as a joke for wanting to walk the line between chef and associate

I made a thread on her awhile ago. She's fine as hell.

Wow. Couldn't have said it any better. Powerful posting

She was hot too. Something about her made her very sexy.

Yup Yup

But as far as the replacement thing Chris suspected something far far seasons before that, rememeber when Tony to allegedly kill the guy the murked Chris pops......

Chris: Why the hell is Bobby behind us:patrice:
Tony:...............:mjpls:.........:youngsabo:

Bobby's rise got stunted with the death of his wife and Janice to a bigger degree, Tony knew Janice was a black widow that'll eventually get Bobby killed, which she did to a degree forcing him to take the reigns rather than be Tony's #2 in the shadows like Chris was early on, even still Bobby proved himself and was the biggest money maker by series end, it can be argued that Bobby's bank was far far greater than Tony's living in John's house, and having the house by the lake also, while Tony was scrambling for money robbing his trusted life long friends in the end..........Bottom Line Bobby was easily the strongest member by season 6

Great series the little subtleties have you coming back for more and more...........I question if Chris actually killed the man that killed his pops, Tony was sarcastic as fukk the whole time when Chris was asking questions, was he simply trying to get Chris to bond with him by any means neccessary:mjlol:

yeah, Bobby was the strongest member of the crew by series end.

Dude Tony was strapped for cash at the time, losing money on bets,on the precipice of a war, and his freedom hanging over his head, shyt was just the perfect storm of problems, all of those things meant no cash coming in, being that Tony was already hurting during that phase with his captains with holdng money post coma and such after he got out of the hospital(paulie being the main one) those things infuriated Tony, because Tony wouldnt of had those issues had Paulie wouldnt have been a bytch ass nikka snitching to NY for no damn reason, once NY got there hands on the esplanade, and HUD, Tony couldnt make them millions and eat had over fist..........Tony was about protecting and making sure his family was stable first and foremost, had he went away, with all the shyt floating over his head at that point he had no control, and Paulie was the reason for this

On top of the money thing Paulie made a move against Tony, damn near the whole series he was trying to position himself to be the boss, post Tony, Tony was damn near on the verge with NY pre phil over his snitching, Tony kids could have been fatherless because of Paulie, he was always bytching, he didnt kick up his full amount, he was kissing NY ass.......If the Tony got popped and the scenerio was true for the final scene I truly believe Paulie was the guy do it, coupled with his superstitions about his bump up and all

Nah, Tony just wanted to kill him to vent some of his emotional angst. Dude looked for excuses for killing people. And yeah, he did have reason enough to kill Paulie, but in the end it was just him wanting to do something about his feelings. Most of the time Tony would ignore his feelings, and it was only when little things would happen that would bring him to face those feelings (i.e. when Tony beat dude with the belt, and only did it because he heard that song on the radio).

It was never implicitly implied that Jimmy was a rat. Tony might have had some reason to be suspicious but at the end of the day they put the hit out on Jimmy without proof. It's possible that Tony wanted so hard to believe that p*ssy's hands were clean that he projected his guilt onto another.

Think about this. Jimmy was a captain. He's been around the block. Why would he show up to Tony's crib right after gettin outta jail and pressin him with dumb questions like that? Surely he knows that Tony is smarter than that?

Unless of course there WAS no reason to be suspicious at all and Tony connected the dots himself. And with Junior being so eager to make good with Tony after the failed hit attempt, he might have signed off on it just to stay in Tony's good graces.

Again it highlights the true genius of the show. It leaves so much open for interpretation.

He did kill the russian, hence Tony still doing business with the boss.

And Tony caused way more problems with NY than Paulie did :rudy:

I just caught something. Wasn't that maid also Phil's mistress?

Wrong. I'm pretty sure it's stated that Jimmy was the rat as well. I forget who it was, but they stated in the show that it was both of them.

Uh...no? He didn't kill the Russian. Or if he did, he couldn't find his body. Remember Chris shot the Russian in the head and the Russian kept running :laff:

I've seen every episode of the show countless times. At no time was it ever implicitly stated for certain that Jimmy was a rat. The audience knew about as much as Tony did.

There's a scene with p*ssy and Skip where Skip tells him he's lucky that Jimmy took the bullet for him but that can be interpreted a number of ways.

Like many things on the show, it isn't spelled out for you.
