Bobby's dad was a killer and a made guy. I doubt lil carmine ever put in any work either.

:unimpressed: he still would have had to do something breh. Lil Carmine probably did some shyt but was keeping p*ssy flowing around the crew and a lot of bread from those pornos

The thing I always wondered with Jackie Jr is: Was he built for life period? Tried to fake being a mobster, didn’t show any progression in education, and always found himself in the absolute worst situations. Dude really was a bum.

I think Jackie Jr. was too close to the life when he had no preparation for it. His father wasn't going to teach him anything, but the problem is, he had no patience for anything. He could have let shyt play out and be involved with mobsters without having to deal with any of their bullshyt. Tony could have set him up with one of those union jobs if he didn't want to go to school anymore. But he just didn't have the patience to stick with anything, and that's what killed him.

It's sad because you can see that Tony genuinely wanted to help him and respect his father's wishes. But Jackie Jr. was too caught up in wanting to be like his father. He bottomed out. :mjcry:

No I'm thinking about Ralphie who was Tony's best earner at the time which is why he didn't kill him sooner.

The guy who went nutjob on the doorman pretending to be Sparticus.

The guy who merciously beat and murdered his young stripper girlfriend.

The guy who murdered animals for kicks.

Then laughed everytime he did something fukked up on some joker shyt.

Ritchie was a man out of time hence his apparel who resented Tony because he felt he deserved Tony's spot due to his brother was. When those two idiots trying to impress Ritchie shot Chrisopher, he was legit shook and lashed out of them. Sociopaths dont get scared.

"You gotta hide me, I'm with you now."

"Get outta here, you fukk, I'll kill ye! :scust:"

I feel like Jackie Jr. would’ve got into even more shenanigans if he got a union job offer. Seeing the crew shooting the shyt at work during those sit-downs would have him want to be “one of the guys”. They’d tell him old tales of what his father did back in the day and indirectly motivate him to cause fukkery. :lolbron:

by season 6 I was a fan of Phil, I was happy to see the jersey family take L after L
Tony B did his crew dirty not once but twice, and the second guy he killed was his brother

his family was constantly having an issue with the jersey family
first Tony B, then his cousin being embarrassed by Vito's "proclivities"

killed his sidebytch and her pops
called him the shah of iran ...:russ:

he had full right to catch Tony B and torture him
I supported that, John Sac chose money over what was owed

RIP Phil

You forget that Bobby drove to Canada a few hours after Tony asked him to kill someone and did it? The mafia ain't just a hitman clubhouse.

Unrelated, on rewatches I kinda noticed that while Lil Carmine talked like he got kicked in the head by a horse as a kid, most of his advice was on point.

Shout out to @Raw Lyrics he posted a theory that Phil was gay and that's why he went so hard on Vito. They really illustrate it symbolically when Phil kills Vito.
This week on Talking Sopranos they went even further that maybe Phil and Vito had a 'relationship'. They specifically pointed to the scene where Phil is laying in bed worried after he killed Vito.
What do you think? Are you feeling that?

You must be forgetting the dude in Canada was his first. Tony sent him on that run out of spite from getting mopped up

Bobby mentioned to him he never did that before, he did other things but never that

Tony reminded him who was in charge by sending him to put work in.

I'm telling yall little carmine was the smartest, raised in a 5 families Family as son of the boss. Played his position and moved out the way until his pops died. He fell back against the GOAT Johnny Sack but if you notice he stirred shyt up again between Phil and Tony. He knew that shyt was going to go left soon as he mentioned Billy getting murked by Tony B

Played those people against each other

I was watching that episode the other month and yeah, something felt off during that whole scene lol. The fact that Phil was personally there to witness Vito’s death felt weird and then the shot of him clinching his fist upon beatdown had me thinking perhaps this is stemming from something deeper.

I don’t think they had a relationship, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Phil was in the closet as well. There’s a lot of repressed anger in his character.

Put Tony in that situation and he wouldn’t even be there to see the dirty work get done. He’s either at the Bing or at family dinner waiting on that phone call to hear that the man is whacked.

Each time Tony had a great top earner, things went to shyt. Ralphie was pulling in crazy cash...ends up getting wacked over some dumb shyt. Vito was pulling in crazy cash and was looking like a major power player in the future...wacked for being gay. By the end, many of the guys who could have helped Tony deal with anything ended up dead due to that shyt, or flipped, or unforeseen circumstance (Gigi dying on the toilet).

Benny looked like he was the next man up...breh put in some major work getting rid of Phil, but we never got to see where that would have gone. You'd think he would be promoted after that, if Tony had lived long enough.

His squad was cursed...
