Mavericks were a great team. They were one of the favorites to win it from the start and were on pace to win 60 + games until Dirk went down with an injury in December.
They had a legit defensive anchor, a great wing defender, a reliable second scoring option, multiple 3 point shooters that shot the 3 at a historic level, a great coach and a top 3 player that played out of his mind.
Come on man. You can't compare the current Lakers to that team.
This isn't that team tho, nash is absolutely finished. I'm sure hes gonna be a piece of shyt and not retire.
D'Antoni's system has a way of making role players look like stars. Lakers can surprise alot of teams.

I don't think we need a blockbuster trade, just a better PG who can pass and shoot maybe another quality post player who can pass to take some of the pressure of Gasol.

Funniest thing about that vid is Swaggy P's reaction. I hope Mitch can find some way to keep him around. He's embracing the spotlight and is out there having fun and enjoying the perks of being a Laker.
Damn shame how much fun this season has been in comparison to last season. This dudes seem to legit like each other and get along great. Nobody making corny jokes or trying to give people stupid nicknames.
