I really hope to miss the playoffs this season (I do NOT want to watch us get swept out again in the 1st round), get a top 3 pick in the NBA Draft (), and then acquire Carmelo and another FA to go alongside Kobe and either Julius Randle/One of the Harrison Twins/Marcus Smart with our top 3 draft pick.
I just don't know if Kobe can or will sit out. Maybe if we're horrible around Christmas...
When Dwight signed with Houston, the next best hope for me was for Kobe to sit, Pau to get traded for 60 cents on the dollar and for us to miss the playoffs. There's no need to rush a rebuild. Carmelo is the biggest name that could sign and that doesn't mean much.
I'm just watching this year for these young wings we have. I hope we lose every game.

4-4 this preseason.
