hol up bruh lemme just post here and put my thoughts on it later..
this coli day shyt is killing my fingers..
Edit: @KidStranglehold magnificent thread woadie..
have they had any dna tests from the Gullah people?
i want to see clusters of which they are mainly related to..
is it the same as AA?
probably isolation..Forgot to respond to this post.
I don't know about DNA studies on the Gullah But they are most definitely African Americans. They're just African Americans who retained their African culture but you have to ask how?
probably isolation..
good questions..IMO I think war. How were they able to be keep their African and keep their culture? Also some of the sources I posted stated that Gullah related groups spread out across North America due to war.
good questions..
maybe culture was most important..
Thanks. But I;m just speculating on how the Gullah retained their African culture. But IMO War/Resistant seems to be more likely.
Another group in South Carolina that retained their African culture.
Yet many people have this idea that AA's are the most Europeanized out of the diaspora.
seems like much more of southern AA's retained either African culture or the slave culture..
i wonder why..
