Great book about how Africa needs to invent its own future and not try to copy the West's model. Not sure if it's translated in English (it should be, too good a book) but I recommend it to anyone interested in Africa. Author Felwine Sarr is a professor in Senegal, economics I think.

Hope this is what you were looking for. If you want to get into Economic theory and development, I would suggest you check out W Arthur Lewis. He is the only black person who has won a Nobel peace prize in economics.

I have two of Dennis Kimbro's books. Do any of these books get into the "how to" of what makes a buisness idea make sense. Or give a system for making an educated guess on whether or not to pursue an idea, and or find want other people want and determine if its worth pursing?

Ahhh I see now. I was trying to gauge what you were looking for. These aren't the kind of books that address value creation or market gauging. These are more on the economic and business development side of things. The biographies themselves are mostly inspiration based with nuggets of business advice and knowledge spread out.

Just to make sure I understand you, you're looking for business books that gives you a blueprint to figure out if you're idea is the right one to pursue?

Correct. I have books like Millionaire Fastlane, and the 4 hour work week. Which are really good and I need to reread them.

I've read all of em and they all helped me out in one way or another. I don't normally put my shyt out there but I will in this instance. I own a Laundromat business, Two rental income properties, and I'm part owner and on the building board of directors for my local co-op building. I've failed in quite a few ventures over the years, but those failures have taught me alot about myself. You'll never know how well you'll do until you get in the game.
