Got this book from my aunt and uncle for my birthday the other day. It's a biography and collection of art based on a good friend of our family, Emory Douglas. He was the one of the Panther's lead graphic artists and their Minister of Culture. It's got some really amazing work in it, and a lot of history about the Panthers.

Yup. Not sure if you need the UPC, but here it is. The book itself is, $35 and worth every dollar. They didn't cut any costs on the materials used in the printing and at 220 pages long, there is tons of art and information contained within it. I highly recommend it for anybody's collection.

My cousin took me to see it way back in the day when it was playing at the theatre decades ago. Amazing movie, it's probably left a longer impression on me than any other movie has. About to order a copy right now. My uncle has been doing grassroots video production for several decades now as well. I wonder if you guys have ever crossed paths. I know he travels a lot for filming and discussion panels.Your username though

My boss is the guy that made Sankofa, his name is Haile Gerima, if you get a chance listen to some of his interviews on youtube. Agreed, it's a really powerful movie. All of his movies are raw as fukk, especially the earlier stuff. I gotchu on that order though, I'll send it out on Monday and thanks for the support.

For anyone that wants to know the history of Miami's renaissance movement in Overtown, and Liberty city. This book also chronicles how blacks contributed to the makings of Miami in the 1800s, the McDuffie riots, and many more. So far it's a great read
