It would work so much better as a running joke if he joined the MCU as himself. Put him in Deadpool 3 he's friends with Ryan Reynolds. Now we can do away with what character he should play and all that comes with.

I don't blame him, there's a lot of money to be made doing those Marvel flicks.
Problem is, The Rock can only play one character. He's not great at acting like anyone else but his same persona he always does.
