:stopitslime:Vin diesel returning brought the series back to life. the rock was added to something already trending upward.
Vin Diesel can't buy a hit anywhere..he didnt add shyt. No one in the theater reacted to him in the movie...but everyone was laughing for Rock, Tyrese, and Statham. Quit the slick shyt. Vin Diesel is nothing without this franchise while Rock cant even get two fukking days off.

Lol@comparing Vin Diesel to the biggest star in Hollywood right now. The spin-off is gonna make money...guaranteed.

:usure: It definitely got back on track when Diesel came back but his return only made $17 million more than the previous real F&F movie in the franchise (nobody counts Tokyo Drift :pachaha:) with Tyrese and Paul.

The box office numbers are available and there's a direct correlation of adding the Rock to the franchise and it blowing up (even bigger). They didn't (and weren't going to) start breaking records until Rock joined the cast. They topped out at around $150 million on the biggest movie with Diesel. Once Rock joined the franchise, they hit $210, $220, $230 and $350 million, with each movie doing better than the last. It's hard to deny that Rock stimulus package.

Saturday Night Main Event was because of Hulk Hogan, late night prime time wrestling that filled the slot of Saturday Night Live when their seasoned ended.

Hogan drew 33 Million viewers for his match against Andre the Giant on NBC the highest rated Wrestling show in history

This is one year into Hulkamania, Rock in his prime ain't doing them numbers
Drew 33 million in the easy kayfabe era...great accomplishment:laugh: Rock movies have outdrawn WM and the entire WWE company. One billion in one year? Get the fukk outta here with this silly shyt. Brad Pitt can only pray for that kind of success these days.

No lies were told. His character brought that series back to life singlehandedly

In wrestling, no one is touching Hogan

in pop culture......thats a tough call

im leaning more towards The Rock cause most of his movies are blockbusters but I wasnt really around when Hogan peaked but i do remember back then

Hogan=Wrestling

I feel like no one will ever get a standing ovation like this again

Hogan peaked? Hogan bombed outside of wrestling...if he hadn't, he would be Jordan level but Rock is. Rock has hosted SNL 5x..and just got the highest rating in 5 years. Are you on drugs or what? Hogan has never, ever, ever been that big. Not during the Mega powers...No Holds Barred with Zeus...Vs Warrior..vs Sting..none of it.

Rock couldn't even bring Hogan's name up at the Hof in 08 without him getting booed. 2002-03? Magical time for Hogan but it ended there. Nostalgia wore off.

LMAO, moving the goalposts I see

Again 33 Million People will never sit on they Asses to see Rocky Maiva wrestle, that's how Popular Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania was, 33 Million tuned in to watch a Wrestling match.

The Rock can never do those numbers and his popularity will never reached the heights of Hulkamania

I don't give a fukk how much money The Rock made, that's all you can say, If it wasn't for Hogan busting those doors open Rock wouldn't get that money.

Bullshyt The Rock wrestled on UPN and CW when Smackdown was on that channel and Rock still couldn't draw 33 Million to hear his rooty poo candy ass putting a microphone to his mouth and flipping his tongue :scust:

Hulk Hogan drew 33 Million viewers Rock can never do those numbers

Hulkamania was a Global phenomenon

This is a tough one to choose right here. Hogan was so popular in the 80's and 90's without having social media and more networks to promote himself and his brand like the Rock does. They are the two most known wrestlers ever just don't know who I would consider more known.

F8 has the highest opening at the box office ever and is a billion dollar movie. The only reason the Fast and Furious franchise still exists is solely cause of the Rock.

Lets not forget Jumanji, Black Adam, Rampage, plus a bunch of other movies he's currently working on

Of all the movies he has starred in and records he has helped break in the past decade, Baywatch is the litmus test? :pachaha:

Baywatch is the litmus test for me because it's his first movie in the last 5 years where critics totally shytted on it. If he can get a fanbase to come despite that, it's a big look for him.

I see what you're saying. If he was DiCaprio going for an Oscar, I'd agree but it's a popcorn flick to me. Sometimes they hit and sometimes they don't :manny:
