Did a Muay Thai class for the first time last night :whoo:

I decided that the MMA gym i visited a while back wasnt for me. Didn't like the bro dude culture there...but this spot i trained at last night :whew:

Super authentic, they even play Thai music in the background while you train. I have muscles in my legs that i didnt know exist that hurt today....:flabbynsick:

I was going to post my sparring vid but it is pretty embarrassing:sadcam: always thought I had good hands but I realized when pure boxing I am just another wrestler with an overhand.:mjcry:

:trash:
So I went back to mitts to try and fix a few things. I guess what I need to work on now is my head movement. Kinda just sits there like a dart board waiting to get hit. Also my lead hook is really bad I never used it much because I felt it had to short range but I realized it is about as long as my jab and I have pretty long reach for my weight class so any tips on lead hook and head movement would be awesome. :feedme:

Sometimes your worst may be how you get better because whats most open can be pointed out and worked on. Just post anyway

Try not to laugh too hard breh. This was an hour in (I was tired as fukk) and I'm still a novice. Still much to learn for me

:salute:..the double ended bag for me was the hardest bag to get down..i kept it very very basic in the beginning...1-1-2 orthodox and southie..didn't even try to move to other combinations until i got that down

The double end bag was (and still is) very damn frustrating. It wasn't until my trainer told me that it's fine if I missed it that I settled down. It's helped my balance a bit :ehh:

@Mr. Leonidas lets see what you got breh!

Hmmmm well offhand I have several vids of me doing my infamous sparring training with one of the heavyweights I coach. With my amateur heavy/cruiser and even light heavy fighters, punch output AND foot movement is what I work on the most. As ya may or may not know, amateur boxing is more about punches thrown than anything else. So when doing that golden glove prep I customarily get in there with my guys not to beat their asses but to provide them a moving target and work on all the mittwork and drills we covered leading up. Essentially I'm a moving punching bag with a high IQ lol. But can anybody tell me how to upload the vids?

EDIT:
Try this link fellas and lmk if it works for ya-
part 5 .mp4
part 1 .mp4
