:whoa:

A lot of cacs believe in the "Illuminati" too, hell look at Alex Jones and all his followers...Most people that are on this new found extreme left wave are probably white too...but yeah i get what you are saying.
This is about race more than secret society though.

Now that im older and understand media propaganda and also who REALLY runs the rap game it makes perfect sense as to why Bone, who at one point in time was the hottest hiphop (and arguably act PERIOD) act on the planet, breaking records held by The Beatles, and winning Grammys to seemingly disappearing off the map.
What I believe happened was that Bone who gave us kid-friendly songs like Thuggish Ruggish Bone, Me Killa, Mo Murder, Weed Song, Foe the Love Of Money and Shoot Em Up( this was for the soundtrack to a movie about boxing by the way) began to mature and wanted to pull away from the demonic, quiji board, bodybag- filling, thuggin on da corner, shotgun blastin image that they had made for themselves. The label (old white & jewish men) said "absolutely not, continue with the thug image or your days of being rich & famous will be over.
It cant be a coincidence that Bone's most positive single came out near the end of their peak:
To sum it up: The Powers That Be DID NOT want BONE influencing the black youth in a positive way

anyone with common sense should know this...which is why i cant believe nikkas be posting threads talking about why is Coco such a big song ??? Because its negative and it makes nikkas act dumb and the powers that be profit off that shyt mane.

they were only with eazy for a short while, so they didnt even get a chance to pick his brain on how to manuever around in the industry and keep their business on poin

like someone said, their shytty business sense did them in more than anything. fans would pay money to see the entire group perform live, and only 2 or 3 of them would show up...they'd drop new songs and albums with only 2 or 3 members on there...people got tired of their shyt and moved on.

U schooled me but Im speaking on the 90's breh

Thats the thing tho....Whodini was well acknowledged in the 90's. Nas had two singles "one love" and "If I Ruled The World" which were whodini throwbacks. 2pac had joints redoing thier music. Video Music Box is still on till this day which means that Whodini have been getting a check since 1985 because Five Minutes Of Funk is still their theme music. Till this day i wasnt feeling how Jim Jones acknowledged Eazy E but didnt acknowledge whodini who did the original beat fo Boyz In The Hood when he used that beat for Certified Gangsters. Whodini were as big in the mid 80's as Run DMC so by the 90's they were still very popular. Remember what Day Day was singing in that scene in Next Friday when he was tied up in the Mexicans house?

Mid 80's this hook was real popular amongst the kids in my neck of the woods....It became so popular that there were different variations like the most popular..."She's a ho..she's a ho..she fukked Rambo, Commando and Gi Joe" The popularity obviously spread across the country because Eazy E jacked that beat from the very popular Whodini for his first single. Whats funny is as the decades have set in that beat is now more familiarized with Eazy then Whodini. In all honesty Eazy E is more popular with this generation then Whodini is so I can understand why this is so. But lets not disregard the fact that one of Eazy's biggest songs is a Whodini jack clearly shows his acknowledgement so who is to say that didnt help Eazy in getting behind what he saw in Bone Thugs H Harmony? Whodini was platinum in the 80's maybe he saw Bone as a 90's version of Whodini. Now that I think of it Bone Thugs are the 90's version of Whodini.

meh same sample or inspiration? it's not that similar besides the little tick tock sound. Boyz has the heavy guitar & all that, much heavier drums. i could see Dre hearing it and thinking "oh shyt i can use that little bit in this beat i made" but not much beyond that IMO i see what you're saying tho

Bone had Mariah Carey clamoring for a feature and just biting their style.

Bone has no strong coast or cheerleaders. I'm in no doubt they've been purposely "shunned" by the industry but at the end of the day - the music fell off and they had personal problems.

But their influence speaks for itself.

I didn't watch it but no Rap artist/group deserved an Unsung TV Documentary more than Bone. NOt that they were unsung in their peak but unsung after. Mase came out and was dope and even he is more celebrated for his impact than Bone.

LOL @ sample

I swear I pictured Vanilla Ice doing the ding ding ding ding ding thing swearing Ice Ice Baby wasnt from a sample. Thats not a sample thats a beat jack. Dre added guitars to a beat made by Whodini.

I agree he probably jacked that sound and tune but the rest of the beat is pretty different. He even made the part he took a bigger part of the beat. I know it's not a sample like Through The Wire was a sample but I meant like they both heard an older song and replayed the tune. It's not exactly an extremely complex and original piece of musical wizardry. It's 2 or 3 notes played up and down in time with the beat
