I'll also add on...support HBCUs. Even if you didnt attend one. Research them, find one and adopt one as your own. Give to it. Purchase and wear their apparel. Attend lectures and events at it (especially those of you who enjoy sports). If you're thinking about attending college, choose an HBCU. There are currently backdoor plans underway in Louisiana and Alabama to gut their funding in hopes they close (Governors Bobby Jindal and Robert Bentley (Rethugs) are exploring ways to bring state funded HBCUs to their knees.

The Mormons support BYU. Catholics support Notre Dame. We MUST support HBCUs. They belong to US and many were founded by former slaves.
