Minnesota isn't really a competent organization either. After all they did use top 5 picks on Johnny Flynn, Wesley Johnson and Derrick Williams in consecutive years.

I like Cousins, I think he's a great player, one of the best big men in the league. But I feel like why bash Love for putting up great stats on a lottery team but not bash Cousins for it? I don't think either are statpadders, I just used Cousins as an example.

Not saying 'Sota is neither competent nor incompetent (although it's obvious what they are) that was more or less an irrelevant aside.

I think it was more people propelling Love into a stratosphere he probably didn't belong in. People were acting like he was a complete gamechanger, a superstar-quality player even. He's a good player, but I don't think he's as good as people were saying.

If the same thing happens with Cousins, by all means, he's fair game.

I also think the fact Demarcus is black and has a tougher, hates-to-lose attitude makes him look better than soft ass, spoiled rich white Love. That might play into the perception a bit as well on coli.

I wouldn't go so far as saying it's mind boggling, but the potential is certainly starting to show.

Last 7 games - averaging 21 ppg on 50% shooting. :whew:

dude its beyond stats. whats mind-boggling is that he's added a post game and pick n roll game in just the last couple of weeks. guys usually need a summer before they debut new aspects of their game. he's doing it week to week now. thats crazy.

all i know is the t-wolves just joined the cavs, lakers, and thunder in my nba all-dvr teams. i'm not gonna miss another minute of his games.

You speak as if he wasn't a number one draft pick and din't have a lot of hype coming from high school. I'm not saying they should be competing for the playoffs, but until the whole team comes together I'm not buying into stats, but I will buy into his improvements.

And sooner of later AD will have to get his team to the playoffs too. Or does that only apply to certain players? And you can't use that ''ole AD is young'' shyt when nikkas is calling him a top 3 player in the NBA.

IMO you gotta wait until a player hits his 3rd or 4th season before you can expect him to carry a team. LeBron and KD didn't make the playoffs until their 3rd season. AD will stop getting excuses for being young if he doesn't have the Pelicans in the playoffs NEXT SEASON.

you like Lavine?

was a fan of him before the draft. and he's done nothing in his first couple of months to make me thing he won't be a good player. we all know about his great athleticism, but he also has a nice handle and decent jump shot off the pick n roll. he moves his feet well on defense and shows great lateral quickness.

right now the physicality of the game is where he struggles. he struggles to finish at the basket and getting off picks on defense. dudes can body him and take him out. he needs to get into the weight room. he's a guy i see making a big leap from his 2nd to 3rd season when his body starts to mature and naturally fill out.

all i know is he's shown me alot more than dante exum :scusthov:

Bulls could have had him over McDermott ... playing next to Jimmy/Derrick

I just dont think he would have gotten any burn with Thibs but I kinda wish we rolled the dice on him with that upside

Just as much as Harrison Barnes is the new age Cliff Robinson, I'm thinking Wiggins might turn out to be the new Dominique Wilkins.

Once again, I said nothing about playoffs. I said winning games here and there. And I hope your last statement is true.

I generally don't think as highly of Wiggins as you do @Swagnificent but I too found it mind-boggling that people thought that going to Minnesota would stunt his development. There's no way he'd have been able to expand his game the way he has as the season's progressed if he was in Cleveland. He probably would've been stuck playing a Corey Brewer role with LeBron
