Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
You speak as if he wasn't a number one draft pick and din't have a lot of hype coming from high school. I'm not saying they should be competing for the playoffs, but until the whole team comes together I'm not buying into stats, but I will buy into his improvements.

Please, show me the number 1 picks the last 10 years that immediately made their teams winners as rookies. I don't care how much hype he had, he's a rookie and expecting him to know how to win games is absurd, judging him on his teams record is just insane.

And sooner of later AD will have to get his team to the playoffs too. Or does that only apply to certain players? And you can't use that ''ole AD is young'' shyt when nikkas is calling him a top 3 player in the NBA.

:dead:

Yeah, you're out of touch with reality breh, Anthony Davis is young, he's the best player under 25 in the NBA by a pretty big margin. What the Pelicans put around him is the issue, not him. You brought up Kevin Love like you were salty that people called him empty stats in his 6th season, not some young dude but a guy that had been in the league for 6 years....and you're trying to draw comparisons to a rookie.

It does. People pick and choose who to use that argument on. Why is it that Kevin Love got bashed for putting up "empty stats" in Minnesota but DeMarcus Cousins doesn't get the same treatment in Sacramento?

Love played 3 full seasons in Minnesota as the #1 option and never made the playoffs, Cousins is in his 4th year of being the #1 option in Sacramento and about to miss the playoffs again yet no one says anything about him.

And no I don't think either should be labelled as stat-padders.

''Expecting theam to win games'' So winning games is too big of an expectation now? Once again I didn't say a playoff team, I said showing flashes and winning here and there. :heh:

A lot of players have had a medicare supporting cast. But aren't they supposed to elevate the guys around them? Yeah I get it AD is young but if someone is being called a top 3-5 player, shouldn't their team be in the playoffs?

Exactly. But you know the slander and expectations on here are never consistent and change up, depending on the player.

Most of the posters here change their opinion on players with every post they make. Get used to it, it's the Coli.

:mjpls: :sas2: one of these two is not like the other

Seriously tho, I do admit the whole criticizing great players on shytty teams is kinda corny (I do it too) to a certain extent there are some players that get overrated into bolivian (like Kac Lovesdikk).

I think you also have to consider Love really came n/h to the forefront because of the Cavs trade. A lot of people never really saw him play or were aware of the numbers he was putting up.

If Demarcus ended up in a bigger market I'm sure he'll get the same mess. He's a great player but he's completely out of control emotionally a lot of the time, and to be fair, the Kings are an absolutely horrible team in terms of getting shyt done. They're the last group of players you can depend upon to execute in critical situations--just too much of a lack of chemistry, zero identity, and there appears to be little to no authority. Seems like those players do whatever the fukk they want.

Minnesota isn't really a competent organization either. After all they did use top 5 picks on Johnny Flynn, Wesley Johnson and Derrick Williams in consecutive years.

I like Cousins, I think he's a great player, one of the best big men in the league. But I feel like why bash Love for putting up great stats on a lottery team but not bash Cousins for it? And I don't think either are statpadders, I just used Cousins as an example.

Rose led the Bulls to the playoffs his rookie year.

But yeah generally I agree, it's unrealistic to expect a first year player to lead his team to the playoffs
