It seems like a lot of people are just now finding out about a lot of this stuff and they are expecting people that knew about this stuff for 20+ years to be doing outrage backflips. Also people are looking for a fight here, most of us are like "okay if you're mad about R. Kelly, I'll get out of your way so you can go do whatever you want to do to him" and people are like "no you need to be madder or I'm fighting you and bringing you into it".

Some of this shyt is 20 years old and people have moved on. It's not about thinking it's okay, but people got they own lives to attend to. A lot of us have already "cancelled" him. Stop trying to shift this into a BMAT thing. I see the usual suspects STRAWMANNING into "yall hate all black women" trying to Segway into other bullshyt.

lol at the usual suspects. nikka people saying things like that shows that they DO hate black women. yall take the HOH mentality too far and act like its weak to say anything other than your contrary but will then turn around and whine and moan about how young boys don't get the same attention when they are molested...an obvious lie by the way.

when that Me Too Movement hits rap soon and the genre is dead by 2030 its gonna be hilarious to see yall kicking and fighting the same way to blame the women and use so many goalposts to make excuses

The point of this coming back up is for him to be locked up...and its not just cause this happened 20 years ago dummy...its because he continued since then even in recent years like that young Black women who wrote a book last year about being molested by him around a decade ago when she was underage. I got no clue why are you making it seem like he been a choir boy since then with this "its old news " stupidity. Its old news but also a good push to bring attention to more recent cases to lock him up

now lets see you do the obvious and give the "what about____white person"

if you have a problem with R. Kelly that's fine...when people like you and the person that dapped you keep trying to turn this into an issue with all black men, you are most likely going to get push back about the strawmanning. The vast majority of people on and off the coli will not defend R. Kelly. When people like you and @Matt504 start talking about all black men for this topic that's about one person, people are not going to take you serious.

What demographic by ,race and gender, makes up the largest portion of his album and ticket sales? Why don't yall direct your outrage to the few people that are still spending money on him. I haven't listened to his music in over 10 years, probably longer, like most black people. I personally don't know a single black person still supporting him.

fukk a "legend."

There was substantial evidence. Actual pictures of him and an underage girl were found in his home. It was the same girl he was on video with. Remember, he was charged in both Chicago and Florida on 21 counts. The Florida case was thrown out on a technicality (no probable cause for the search warrant). And years passed before the Chicago trial went forward with reduced charges (due to what happened in Florida).

You then have his marriage to a 15 year old Aaliyah. Him writing songs about age being nothing but a number. And his line about a 12 year old Aaliyah in "She's got that vibe." He's a pedophile.

No conviction, no basis. Hopefully this isn't like what they did to Cosby, just coming up with throwing charges out to see what will stick.

He is a music legend, make no mistake, but #metoo is just going overboard to destroy another Black legacy...

This is horseshyt. The evidence was all there. They just couldn't see her as a child{1} and couldn't see passed Kelly's fame. The jury failed that girl. Just like Aaliyah's family failed her. I don't get it. How can you claim that what happened to Cosby was an injustice when he admitted to drugging women and having sex with them? But turn a blind eye to this injustice? And what does #metoo have to do with this?

If the Coli is any indicator, this study should come as no surprise.

Man what the fukk is your stupid ass talking about? They have done this for decades/generations outside of Trump who even him they constantly talk about him. You gotta be an idiot to say what you just said.

Where are are the 6 hour lifetime specials on those topics? Name them.. I'll wait... Over 3000 children have made allegations of sexual abuse by catholic priest. Where is the 3 night lifetime special? How many priest have even gone to jail? Where is your outrage? The relative outrage is the problem. 1000's of young boys are raped by teachers. Where is the 6 hour special? That olympic Dr larry nassar molested/ raped 130 underage female athletes and the media covered it for barely a week. No 6 hour specials though.

The media has barely even touched the fact that trump, the president has been accused of rape by multiple women. There is no 3 night special on it either. R kelly is pretty irrelevant almost retired in 2018 so why are you holding him to a higher standard and more scrutiny than the president of the united states?

If the argument is that we shouldn't care about this because it happened 20 years ago and no one did anything....

:mjpls:
The argument is that we've know about it for 20+ years, he went to court and somehow beat the case, and at that point most people stopped listening to him and moved on. And people dont see the point in rehashing this when it will lead to nothing.

If yall want him brought up charges, say so. Otherwise, yall just talking just to talk. Yall keep trying make this an issue for all black men and you keep making these goofy ass strawman vague "black men hate black women posts" when the topic is one man. Why dont you organize an actual movement against R. Kelly? ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING.

The same statement can be made about black boys. Black children are not allowed to be children. That's why black boys are killed at higher rates by police and george Zimmerman types. The media never framed Trayvon Martin as a child in their reporting. Courts disproportionally charge black boys are adults and nobody cares.

Black Boys Viewed as Older, Less Innocent Than Whites, Research Finds
Police likelier to use force against black children when officers ‘dehumanize’ blacks, study says

I know this. I understand this. You can find posts on here where I try to talk about this. People care. Not enough, but it is dishonest to make that claim. Anyway, this isn't a competition. Both black boys and girls are in danger. We're talking about R. Kelly and his preying on young girls in this thread, however.

Yeah that Drea Kelly video is from her page on February 2017 so it's well after she left him and spoke out.

And it is also key to mention that the age of consent in Illinois is 17 years old, not 18:picard:

:gucci: The age of consent in Illinois is 17 and he still said fukk it too old

where did you read in any of my post that it wasnt her :jbhmm: you are having trouble comprehending my simple post and yet we want to discuss a complicated topic thats years old :jbhmm:

then you wernt paying attention :dahell:

sounds like you just reading TheShadeRoom comments instead of getting the info yourself :dahell:

Thats not how the law works if the DA press charges :mjlol:

Seems like you are the one that's not getting info for himself wtf breh

A simple goole search finds:

"
Many jurors believed Kelly was the man in the tape, but they couldn't be sure that his goddaughter was the female. Without her testimony, the panel relied on a low-quality VHS tape and still photographs to determine the two participants' identities.

"Most of us felt that maybe it was Kelly, maybe not," said juror John Petrean, a Romanian immigrant. "But nobody could agree if it was her. We had seen photos of her at other times and she seemed like a young girl. It seemed like the girl on the tape was much more developed."
"

Chicago Tribune - We are currently unavailable in your region

It indeed was because they could't prove it was a minor on the tape, not because she had a fake ID in the club :mjlol:

Agreed, at least support your kids in performing arts and have them go to school to learn the craft (ie Alvin Ailey). Most these parents and kids looking for fame and $$$ and they end up regretting it and being depressed. You gotta be a narcissist.

Queen these parents aint no better than a street pimp period.

Case in point my oldest is tall and slender like her mom. A lady I know was like you gonna put her in modeling. I was like hell naw unless it is like modeling for the local paper for sales papers like sears and etc in the paper. That type of modeling the parents are close and the kids do a 2 hour shoot maybe twice a month.

The lady is like naw that aint where the money is at. Don't you want her to be like them runway models. Yall can be rich doing that. I told her fukk that runway modeling....most of them folks got drug problems, have sex with adults at young ages and are often times escorts.

She was shocked when I said that shyt. I was like you know them kids are often times on the road as children like 12 and up years old. By themselves in different cities all around the world. What you think they doing around a bunch of adults with money?

Anyone with sense knows that the shyt is basically a conveyor system to be set out to famous and rich folks (men and women...cause we forget that women can be predators too).
