There was substantial evidence. Actual pictures of him and an underage girl were found in his home. It was the same girl he was on video with. Remember, he was charged in both Chicago and Florida on 21 counts. The Florida case was thrown out on a technicality (no probable cause for the search warrant). And years passed before the Chicago trial went forward with reduced charges (due to what happened in Florida).

You then have his marriage to a 15 year old Aaliyah. Him writing songs about age being nothing but a number. And his line about a 12 year old Aaliyah in "She's got that vibe." He's a pedophile.

It seems like a lot of people are just now finding out about a lot of this stuff and they are expecting people that knew about this stuff for 20+ years to be doing outrage backflips. Also people are looking for a fight here, most of us are like "okay if you're mad about R.
