Don't pay to see this.
There are no likable characters. No memorable scenes, characters, lines.
I'll wait for others to post before posting my full review/opinion, but I went in with as open of a mind as one can have and I was disappointed.
I didn't expect the movie of the year, but this didn't even live up to the 43% it got on rotten tomatoes

I watched this film last saturday, by sunday I had my friend reminding me I had actually been to the cinema to see it. Great concept, poorly executed, overall forgettable...
Honestly haven't forgotten a movive I watched since The Collection
Daughter was fine though

How u gonna take a good original concept and turn it into a wack home invasion movie? The people behind this shyt def stole that idea from someone cause beyond the original concept there aint a shred of originality or creativity in there

Movie was cheesy as hell and had terrible acting. Didn't feel like a suspense movie to me, more like a comedy because I was laughing hard as hell in some scenes.

Godzilla got busy.
Got back a lil while ago. Movie was painfully disappointing. It seemed every common sense thing to do was thrown to the bushes.
This concept coulda been on some Hunger Games shyt in the right hands. What a missed opportunity.
Was this the first year "The Purge" was implemented? If not, then why was everybody acting brand new for? It's ok to watch death on TV but when its at their front door they're struck with morals? Did they not have an entire year to physically and mentally prepare for all potential situations? 
Lil Blanket letting a stranger into his house then help hide him when it's clear the stranger is ready to gut the entire family if need be.
Daughter assuming her BF wasn't gonna try and kill pops. Yea, he just snuck in on Purge day to say "hi."
The kids running off randomly while strangers and killers are roaming the house
The fact Lil Blanket had the access code for security in the first place.
Pops being the only one to understand the deathly consequences for the actions the fam wished for.

So yea I saw the movie last night with the wife. I think like a quarter way through I said to myself "what a stupid fukking concept for a movie". I mean it just hit me at that moment how asinine the entire concept was. The execution was bad, I just... Dont even know what to say. Shoulda saw fast 6..
