Him and @Truth200 been holding onto the dumbest straw man arguments instead of pushing the discussion forward and examining other variables that play a key role in dividing and programming people (not just black people)

instead of waiting for us, how bout you push it forward or make another thread on those variables. Im (and im sure @Truth200 is too) willing to learn. You've already admitted that rap is a part of the overall problem so im still :dwillhuh: at why you acting brand new like we're saying something that you dont believe is true yourself.

Feel free to make another thread about those other variables if they have nothing to do with Hip Hop.

You sound like a broken record so accusing people of straw man arguments is laughable.

Who owns the labels?

Who markets the content?

When they market the content does the positive content the same push as the destructive content? (If so/not, why)

Even before the inception of hip hop this system was still working to marginalize people of color........

Hip hop didn't break up the panthers

Hip hop didn't let drugs in the community

Hip hop didn't commit 500 + years of destruction in the form of slavery, war, miseducation, genocide.....

If one of you densley ignorant adults try and use hip hop as blame for black Americas ills you should be put on notice from this point forward as a clown

:mjlol:

It's 2015.. This should be a well known fact from this point forward

@Emperor_ReinScarf @Napoleon
@ModernFonzie

So because it wasnt one of the original problems it can't be considered a problem :camby:

Hip hop was a problem when I was younger. It's a problem today. I've been influenced both positively and negatively by it. To say anything different would be because of a bias. As bad as people want things to be, not everything is black and white.

The fact people are blaming the sickness and the not the virus that caused the sickness is disturbing. This is what CACs do to deflect blame. Let's not buy into their narrative brehs. Blaming hip hop is cornball behavior. Just educate your brehs and brehttes on why they should avoid promoting the negative artists.

media propaganda is apart of the virus, thats what you dont understand. And are you saying that its out of the realm of possibility for a black person to be sick of hearing constant messages of hate, violence, and promiscuity? Do you not understand or believe that this music has been PURPOSELY manipulated for THEIR agenda? Do you not understand that you all are playing right into their hands by defending music that promotes our own genocide?

Nobody is defending negative music. Read the last sentence of the post you quoted.

incarceration and crime arent the same boo boo

First off I'm not trying to be argumentative, just fishing for info.

one cannot seriously be going back 1920 - 1970 and use the trends of crime decreasing or increasing as your argument (I know you didn't post that graphic) without being seen as disingenuous. It used to be a crime to eat at white diners, go to white schools, look at white women, talk back to white people, etc. when those crimes ceased to be crimes of course the crime rate dropped. You need to look at similar times and rules when determining crime being on the decline or incline.

I'll be the first one to admit I don't know if crime is going up or down since 1980 (what i consider the modern hip hop era). I think this time period would better show upward or downward trends while measuring hip-hops influence. I can't think of any groundbreaking legislation that changed the crime rate during the hip-hop era. Can you.. or anybody else reading this post?.. the war on drugs? I really would like to know what units of measure were used when determining crime rates declining.
