Whenever I hear people blame shyt, whether it's rap music or videogames, it really highlights their fukkboy level. Hip hop could disappear tomorrow and it wouldn't change a thing. Institutional poverty and racism are the problems. Hip Hop is nothing more than an art form born out of that poverty and struggle.
An art form that glorifies Black death and disrespect of Black women and drug use of Black people. Hip Hop could disappear tomorrow and it wouldn't change the conditions that birthed hip hop, but it would be the death of an art form that rationalizes dysfunctional behaviors in the Black community.

Not all video games have violence like Grand Theft Auto either but when people mention video games glorifying violence, it should be pretty obvious that they aren't talking about Crash Bandicoot

millions of people everyday across the country listens to the radio and hears this music that promotes a destructive lifestyle and tells our young boys and girls that its acceptable. And today, MOST rap glorifies that shyt.

The radio is extremely powerful and influential. Theres a reason some of the highest paid DJ's are earning well over 6figures. And payola exists for a reason too. The radio has a huge audience

is hiphop promoted as "fake" like video games and movies are? When actors do interviews for movies or are on the red carpet, are they themselves or the character they play in the movie? Are rappers crucified if its ever found out that they really arent doing the things that they rap about? Have you ever heard a rapper say that his rhymes aren't real and they're just made up for "entertainment" purposes? Movies and video games aren't rooted in authenticism, rap is. Its all about "keeping it real" when it comes to hiphop
