It's not a coincidence that the balance, conscious, pro black in rap started to drop once the major corporations saw there was bread in rap. Couldn't have nikkaz talking about getting their shyt together and knowing their history, etc. 
And hell no hip hop isn't to blame, but the shyt these majors like to pump damn sure aint helping.
They know exactly what they are doing and have no problem getting minstrels to take the check and put out buffoonery.

Gangsta rap(not rap, gangsta rap you dumb mofos) encourages anti intellectualism, degeneracy, rampant criminal behavior, anti authoritarian, general ignorance, violence, and living in the moment rather than planning for the future. An entire generation raise on this will slowly degenerate into chaos as proven by the slow destruction of the black community since the 70s, look outside what do you see oh nothing but young blacks mindlessly worshipping the gangsta rap culture. These kids see these men as idols as people they should follow and waste their time in school so they can become rappers, this creates an ongoing cycle of poison in the black community.
The cycle:
Nikka hears gangsta rap>Nikka becomes rapper>More nikka hear it>Nikkas follow it like thoughtless sheep>Crime, and Degeneracy begin to increase>Nikka hears gangsta rap
It all eventually ends where these criminals become too plentiful in the african american community thus destroying our society once and for all. Look at the chaos they cause in the inner city now imagine that applied to this entire continent.

One of the reasons I stopped doing music was that I would have to continually interact with white people, jews, asians that couldn't rap to save their life but were running shows and events. Hosting, booking, etc.
Then when they get too comfortable and start saying out of pocket shyt, I can't even steal on'em cause everybody is like 'chill psycho'
shyt was infuriating.
Now I'll watch battles and anything other than Smack/URL is a bunch of white people center stage while blacks go against each other in the ring like plantation mandinka fights. Then with all the fake images... christian rappers doing drugs, fake soft nikkas pretending to be gangster, and borderline homosexual shyt I was getting burnt out on hip hop. So when I went to the doctor and found out I was diminishing my hearing from doing so many loud venues I was like fk that... I'm out.
I can barely recognize hip hop today from what it was when I was young.
