Well what's the sense in remaking something that's NOT a classic?? If it wasn't that great the first time when why would we wanna see it again? The fact that it's being remade in the first place is a testament to the greatness of the original is it not?
There's plenty sense in remaking movies that aren't classic because then they can try to get it right the second time. There's also plenty sense in remaking movies that are classic because then it's a different interpretation of the material.
As far as I know, Predators didn't have any studio interference but it still felt like it. Like there were parts left on the cutting room floor or just elided. Hopefully this next one is rated R so Shane Black can be all Shane Black.
