breh, do you know how much storage you are going to need? I can't imagine it being much unless you've capped out that 500GB hard drive with media.
Hell, I'll send you a damn 250GB Laptop hard drive for $15 shipped and can just throw an external on it. Grab Windows and install it for free via bootcamp. Whole thing will cost you about $50-$60 or so.
@TheRealfG apparently you can't run Bootcamp off an external. Let me look for solutions, you can get all of this done for less than $100 guaranteed.
TBH the best solution would be to get an OWC SSD for your macbook and use the 500GB as external storage. Swapping out the hard drive on your macbook is easy. Why spend money on BS? That's always my philosophy behind these things, you already have a great laptop. IMO you already have the horsepower you need...don't let simple storage space cause you to spend money on a whole new setup.

Weird problem I've been having for months now it seems... Youtube pauses for like split second whenever another tab in Chrome is loading something like a page or w/e. shyt is bizarre.

I checked earlier, no cigar. They must have diff options for features. I wouldn't be touching the monitor at all either way.did you check. I didnt know till my coworker said something
I doubt you can run bootcamp from an SD Card and no, Windows will not slow down your mac.
If you get a virus you can just delete the windows partition in utilities
