houston.
I'm considering building a home PC for regular computer use, no video gaming or anything like that.

What are the best options available? Looking to not spend much (around $500 or so)

tim schafer is a bytch ass faggit. guys like him NEED a publisher standing over them with a stick, beating their ass any time they want to be lazy

the grim fandango 'remaster' on steam is the worst 'remaster' of a classic Ive ever seen. straight up cash grab with millions of bugs.

laptop or desktop ?

you dont really need much nowadays for 'regular computer use'...a cheap desktop will be real cheap.

yeah, whatever desktop should be good. an SSD would be the best upgrade to improve the experience
word on ssd. if youre used to regular HDs loading and then watch all OS load in like 5 secs and all even loading-intensive apps load lightning fast...:noah: youll never go back

I don't know what's the best, but WD has never let me down. If you want to transfer between a mac and a pc, you gotta get a seagate one though (western digital ones don't work like that anymore)

Looks good to me. I used that same case and power supply to build an HTPC last year, which I ended up selling to my brother, and he uses it to browse and do light gaming on.
Edit: My bad, I used an Elite 130 case instead of the 110. Looks like the 110 is smaller. From reading reviews, this is a solid case, too.
