I like it. Tho I'd opt for at least a 250+gb ssd.Thoughts on this build?

I'd wait. I'm in the market for new cards too. The new rumor is the 8gb 980s are coming out in March (but who knows if that's true). I was just checking up on the 390xs and I couldn't find anything. But you know they're coming soon.I thinking about getting the Sapphire r9 290x 8gb card but I'm cause I heard Nvidia is supposed to come out with 8gb 970's and 980's. Plus AMD should be releasing the new r9 300 series cards soon.
Yeah, I read that too somewherei don't think it's a smart buy getting a 8gb 970 or 980 because of the 256 bus width. nvidia figured out to optimize 4gb (3.5 for the 970 ) on a 256 bus, but the 4gb gtx 680/670 versions ran horribly, and basically narrowed the bus to 192 . people are complaining about the 970 3.5 vram, but that was a bigger issue on the kepler architecture imo. if you were on a 1080p and using a single card, it didn't hinder anything. but if you were using higher res/refresh monitors or doing sli... you were basically fukked.
nvidia can go to hell... but i can't leave them because i love their features so much
yeah, my "2gb" 660 wouldn't go over 1500mb. it's kind of funny that now there's such a big deal with the 970's. I think it's because of how they marketed both the 970 and 980 as being 4gb cards. everyone thought they could overclock the significantly cheaper 970, and it would be the 'same thing' as the 980... turns out that's not true

thing is nvidia really can't 'fukk up' as long as they have no real competition. most of those people trying to return their 970's are probably planning on getting a 980thats how they marketed the 670 and 680 as well and both those cards is what began their dominance on video gaming GPU's.. the 500 series was the break away from AMD but the 600 series is what separated them.
The thing is, im not sure why nVidia had to do this shyt with the 970s you are in the clear lead, why fukk up ?
