If you are able to push the SSD budget to $85 I recommend a 256GB re-certified crucial. I would skip upgrading the case, the Source 210 is fine.Aight, someone school me on SSD's, I'm making a few upgrades on this, almost, 2 year old build. Here is the current setup:
CPU: i7 3770K @ Stock
Cooler: Stock
MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
RAM: 16GB GSkill Ripjaws X 2x8GB
HDD: WD Black 1TB 7200RPM
PSU: Crucial TX650
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 650
Case:NZXT Source 210
After few upgrades:
CPU: i7 3770K @ 4.2ghz - 4.5ghz?
Cooler: Corsair h100i
MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
RAM: 16GB GSkill Ripjaws X 2x8GB
SSD: ???
PSU: Crucial TX650
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 760 / Sapphire Radeon R9 270 (better GPU rendering in PS/Sony Vegas)
Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D
Been stuck for days in trying to pick the right SSD for my system. Not doing any gaming on it, just basically want to run the OS and some graphics/video editing programs. (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sony Vegas). All of my media files, music, pictures, videos...etc will be stored on an external 3GB WD My Book.
After some research I think I've found a few that might suit me but there are too many to choose from, read/write speeds, conflicting reviews...im stumped!
Kingston SSDNow V300 -
Intel 520 -
Samsung 840 EVO -
Crucial 500 -
I'm also strying to stay righ around the $60-$70 range.
Appreciate the reply, I could go $80-85 if i NEED to. Is there truth to the smaller SSD drives (60, 80, 120) having lower performance compared to the 250/500?If you are able to push the SSD budget to $85 I recommend a 256GB re-certified crucial. I would skip upgrading the case, the Source 210 is fine.

Completely getting off gaming except for the vita, huh?I just sold my PS4, I just have no desire to play anything anymore unless I am on the move
Steam account is up for grabs, 300 or so games. Will let it go for $500. PM if interested.
Pretty much, I kinda knew this a while back but kept fighting it. I should have never bought a PS4 tbhCompletely getting off gaming except for the vita, huh?

I actually just picked that up the other day too. I had the same issue, and just re-installed the latest physx driver.
