:pacspit: on the south so far. People are weird too. It's gonna take some time to get used to. Nice weather today though :ld:
I'm sure it's different if you've never lived down here. I'm originally from massachusetts and now I'm out here in rural louisiana

isn't there a microcenter in houston though?

Yeah, but it's far away. I'm on the North side and it's on the south west-ish. Houston is fukking huge too. It takes forever to get anywhere

you might not feel that way about winter :heh:
I'm actually one of the few people that loves the winter. I love snow and really cold weather.

I hate humidity and hot weather. But I lived in Phoenix for 4 years. I'm sure I can handle Houston. Once you hit 117 on the regular you get immune to the heat.

But these fukking bugs here man. Goddamn. I get bit the second I go outside. fukk this shyt.

I lived in Miami for awhile and the humidity was real bad there. thing is it's just hot, whether it's 3pm, 3am, June, January, whatever. if it made it down to the 50's there is was like the end of the world. you'd seriously see Haitians with mittens and shyt :heh:

I remember growing up in mass, when it made it to the 50's in spring, we came to school with t-shirts on, like "summer is here" :blessed:

I don't like it when it's real cold though. especially when it's on some -10 wind chill shyt. that cold hurts

I really liked it out in SF. it stayed between 50-79 all year

to bring it back on topic, my PC likes the cold

Why are all these new 4K monitors cheaper than 1440p Gsyncs? Matter of fact, why are 1440p monitors (non-gsync) even anywhere near 4K prices? When I was at Fry's yesterday (:pacspit:) the one 1440p monitor they had (!!!) was $500 and the several 4K monitors they had were around $600. Shouldn't 1440p be in the 2-3 hundreds now? I don't get it :mindblown:

1440p seems like a rip-off when you can get twice the resolution for 1-200 dollars more

IPS vs TN. Top of the line panels vs shyt panels. There's more to monitors than just resolution.

I was just about to post this.

For me Resolution > All though. I have multiple things going on for work

Isn't the gsync TN? And it costs a G :wow:

At the moment all G-Sync's are TN. IPS isn't readily capable of refresh rates over 60 hz. Not sure which is 1K. The one I have was $800, and its a custom built 8-bit TN panel (they are usually 10-bit) which comes close to IPS quality.
