is this thing there for. Sound has no life and sounds hallow. I had an HP dv7 with way better sound quality but it had Beats speakers.. Jesus im still pissed about that. Headphones all the way with this.

Yeah, that's what I read you're supposed to do once you find issues, so you can isolate which stick is good and which one is bad. If I get any errors tonight that's what I'll be doing.
Well, after 12 hours of testing, I didn't get any errors with Memtest86+ and I gamed four hours yesterday during the day too and no crashes.
Now it's just checking the CPU and GPU (which I'm pretty sure is fine). I feel like I'm missing something? Anything else to check?
Also, could the random lock-ups be the result of some sort of program incompatibility? Like my anti-virus is locking my system up during gaming because it is trying to update the software?

Anti-Virus can be an issue at times, but what game is it again that is locking up?
Is it possible that your HDD or SSD is dying?
It locked up a few times on Watch Dogs and once on BF4. (so it really could be random I guess)
I don't think my harddrive is dying (it's pretty new), but I guess I could run a test on that too.

Are you running Win 8.1?? There's a bug on there that my cousin's rig have encountered whereby the hard disk is constantly being read/written to. It's evident by the task manager showing 100% usage for the hard drive in the performance tab of the task manager. It may not be that but the symptom you described was similar(Lock ups, slow downs etc.)
win 8 may be all up in your ass...
Thanks. I am on win 8.1. I just checked and the disk usage is good. I'll keep an eye on it though.
The Watch Dogs crashes may be related to using Flawless Widescreen to memory hack the game to run in 3 monitors. (although I rarely had this occur on my previous rig)
I can't explain the BF4 crash, but it's only happened once.
I'm running Prime95 until I go to be tonight (in like 3 hours) and I'll see if I get any shutdowns. I'm running good temps right now, so I don't think it's my CPU.
I've tested my GPUs extensively, and they're good too.
I think this might be some sort of software issue.
Unless anybody else has any ideas.....?
