afterburner uses the "riva tuner statistics server" for the OSD (ver 6.1.1.7293)
How am I seeing anything without it in other games then? :mindblown:

I guess I'll uninstall and reinstall and see what's up

I might be being an idiot right now, but what do I need rivatuner for? Just installing afterburner seems to work fine with every other 32-bit game

idk but im pretty sure rivatuner is the one analyzing the statistics and afterburner is just a user overlay to display on screen.

thing is, you can only get that version of RTSS with afterburner

I'm getting around 45 fps average in watch dogs in ultra with three monitors. But those FPS jumps are annoying as hell. It jumps to the mid 30s sometimes (for what appears to be no reason) and up to the mid 50s at others. I might just lock this game at 30fps, if possible :scusthov: shyt is too choppy right now.

choppyness might be the stuttering many people are experiencing. try lowering the texture quality (or look into the above cracked exe...)

I might look into the cracked exe. I really don't wanna lower the texture quality if at all possible, but I will if it comes to it. I figured 2 780tis could handle this shyt in 3 monitors, but I guess a bad port is a bad port :yeshrug:

The game calls WinVerifyTrust all the time to check if uplay_r1_loader64.dll has been modified, and that slows down the game...

I'm doing 60 FPS now with everything on Ultra, 1080p, VSYNC (enabled through Nvidia control Panel) and MXAA...

You need to download the winverifytrust crack and you're all good...
how do I do this? :ohhh:

Actually it was found that the stuttering problem comes from their DRM. This game is using the WinVerifyTrust function to check if uplay_r1_loader64.dll has been modified and it does this almost every frame while you are playing. Also the game.exe is trying to connect to Ubi-Servers after you press any key. It creates a file called LumaPlay.log and it tries to upload it to cloud which cause the lags and memory leak.

I am also sure the developers said the PC was the lead platform so the console versions are the ported versions.

this is everything at ultra? not bad considering 3 monitors. what kind of AA are you using?

run borderless and gpu render ahead frames to "1" helped me with stuttering.

everything on ultra with fxaa. I'll try putting gpu frames at 1 and see what;s up

GPU Buffer frames 1 helped a little bit.

I'm amazed at how accurate the loop is though. I just did the exact walk from my train station to my building and it looked pretty real (minus a subway in the wrong place, and my building now being a hotel :skip:)


Edit: Capping the game at 30 fps with 2 frame v-sync was a terrible idea...:huhldup:
