we'll agree to disagree on sleeping dogs (though if you look at some textures on buildings and background stuff here and there, SD looks shaky)

as for the gta 4 jawn, look at the car pic you posted. the road cement is on some :flabbynsick: shyt if you look at it unbiasedly- especially compared to the roads in SD; and some of the cement brick textures are iffy at best imo.

also you're hugely discrediting the capabilities of mods. doesn't matter if it's for half decade year old GTA4, them modders are on some next shyt that most game dev teams wish they had. look at god damn skyrim, dudes got that shyt looking like a fukking movie.; so again, your hugely modded gta 4 vs stock WD yet WD is still on some :banderas: shyt. says a lot about it's strength.

in the end it's all subjective, clearly the game made you feel some type of way but facts only- it's technologically more advanced in graphical fidelity :yeshrug:
If it was technologically more advanced that would be visible and we wouldn't be having this discussion...We wouldn't have to agree to disagree...

The differences in image fidelity is clearly marginal at best especially with Sleeping Dogs...There is nothing technologically advanced about higher resolution textures which is what you chose to critique in those GTA picture...Textures can easily be manipulated, I've done it myself for GTA and Skyrim...Anyways I do agree bringing up a modded game is not a good comparison these modders are wild with the shyt they do but a 7+ year old engine regardless of how much its been manipulated should still not look as good as a new game...

make a fair point there.

you know how i feel though? in the end ports will always be ports.

buggy, not optimized, graphics lacking; i blame fukking consoles.... holding back PC gaming for the past decade :beli:

i would love to see how gta4, SD, W_D, would all look and play if they originated on PC

I'm not exaggerating but I'd probably get away with telling someone I'm playing a ps3 game when watch dogs is playing.
