Did y'all see Newegg charging $900 for r9 290x 2 days ago? Pathetic. If I didn't have shop runner, I would never buy shyt from there.
Those guys are slowly losing me.

I have a feeling they are going to drop shoprunner soon with their "Premier" program being introduced. I am about to dump them in the bushes real soon

huh? I think the 790 is supposed to have two kepler chips
I mean, they were supposed to announce the black and the 790 at the same time. I beginning to think the 790 isn't real, and the rumors were just wrong :to:

Does the 780 typically run lower FPS for the Cinebench OpenGL benchmark? I got around 88 which is less than my previous inferior AMD card.

I'm running the R15 benchmark. Games are fine. Getting over 60 on pretty much everything on max settings.

One thing though, AC4:Black Flag is capped at 30 FPS :upsetfavre: because of some VSYNC issue.

you are only capped because of bench marking right ? cause I run AC4 Black Flag at 60 fps no problem

nvidia just released the GTX 750 (@$119) and 750ti (@$149), which are actually the first Maxwell chips

they're pretty weak-sauce, but I guess very efficient

This card is going to be huge for budget miners. Prepare for the mining tax.

Who's the better alternative? I've been reading about newegg losing a lot of enthusiast lately.

Yea, but not the beta one.

It's weird as shyt. It gets between 50-60 if I stare up to the sky and it gets capped at 30fps doing anything else. When I look fast side to side it drops to 20.

Seems like others had this issue with vsync. They downloaded some 3rd party program to fix the issue but I'm not fukking with any of that right now.

do you have physx on? I don't have that game, but I remember hearing it was still a performance killer after it was supposedly 'fixed'. even on a 780

chopping the framerate down to 30 is what vsync will do. you can use 'adaptive vsync' via the nvidia control panel. it basically only enables vsync when the framerate is above your refresh rate, but you will see tearing if it drops below. the 3rd party program you speak of is probably "d3doverrider" to force triple-buffering. that's generally the best solution... but if the issue is physx, you can probably just turn that off, use the ingame vsync, and not worry about all that other shyt

Ok thanks. I'll mess with it tomorrow and I'll let you know.
