This card is going to be huge for budget miners. Prepare for the mining tax.
How so? Are Maxwell based cards supposed to address issues with mining?

I'm not even sure why nvidia cards sucked for mining anyway :dwillhuh:

There are models out that don't need PCIE cables and their khash/wattage ratio nearly matches 270's. They have 50/60W TDP's. You can plug 7 of these things onto one system on a single 850W-1000W PSU.

I don't believe Nvidia will ever address issues with mining as they most likely don't see it as an issue. It's due to architectural differences, AMD focuses on integer performance while Nvidia focuses on floating point and double precision.

This could easily turn into a problem for AMD as they are no longer getting their cards into gamers hands.

Could you imagine the used card market if coins went to shyt with people selling off their farms. :whew:

@2gunsup Time to upgrade breh.

:whoa:

Another rehash of a Titan, no thanks. My overclocked 780s > 780 tis, Titans, Titan Blues/Black/Green. shyt changes when they are overclocked though, :sadbron:

I kinda hope the mining scene dies down a little...shyt is getting out of control.

Soon you will see Newegg charge $1000+ for a 290X :snoop:

ay fukk mining.. forreal.. what the fukk that gotta do with me?! better not hike the pricing up on 870 GTXs coming out soon that shyt better be like $400 MAX

im contemplating getting a 880 GTX if they are $500 or so :lupe: im not paying $600 though

but if I find a 870 GTX for $370 near release I think I just go with that.. but at $400 to $500, $100 difference I dont know :lupe:

I plan on going to vegas 3 times this year :sadcam: so I dont know bout that $500 price tag :sadcam:

but one way or other im getting a new video card near the release of em

I hear games are STILL struggling with SLI/Cross fire... is it time for video card companies to come up with a new idea and abandon this shyt? I mean its been a fukking decade already(dont quote me on the time frame, I feel like its been a decade) and the issues with gaming and multiple cards (on more games than not) is :snoop:

SLI has worked perfectly for me since my 570's. Some games may not support it on release date but a patch eventually comes with support.

I think even just as recent as Rust (and I believe Day-Z) have been struggling with SLI/Crossfire (FPS issues)

a lot of the top streamers used to SLI (the 570s/580s were popular sli cards) but pretty much gave them up for single 690s for the most part :yeshrug:

Day-Z and Rust are beta games bruh. Issues are bound to happen with all the updates they are doing to them. A 690 is exactly the same as 680's in SLI.

day-z been out 2 years :yeshrug: theyve been using its a beta/standalone/mod excuse for 2 damn years, the excuse is kinda expired on that game honestly.. Rust, rust patches are just a mess. Game is fun but with every patch it seems they cant get it right (fix 1 thing, break 3 things)

does it really take 2 years to fix walking into door ways :dwillhuh:

I think the dev team struck lightning with the original day-z (lucked out with popularity) and cant really dig themselves outta a hole to improve the game from the original mod honestly :yeshrug:

How much waas the 290x before the whole mining craze
Had to be like $700 tops.

I know the R9 280X was at about $380-$390ish and now that shyt is about $500 for the lowest priced cards on newegg.

People need to understand that unless you are buying heavy...this mining shyt is not worth it for all. It's best just to invest in low value coins and then trade it for BTC or LTC
