Thank God i don't jump on the enthusiast pc gaming bandwagon anymore, i'm only going to am5 because my am4 motherboard bricked and my ancient ryzen1700 was 
status. It's still a solid platform and i don't see any reason for someone who already has a high-end pc to go for the new ones.
Maybe at the end of the year i'll get an RTX 4070 and call it a day for the next 5 years

You'll probably only really need to upgrade the GPU and CPU in 5 years unless they make some insane advancement on other partsIf I build a PC today with a 4090 and latest processor, how much would it cost to upgrade again in, say 5 years? Obviously only upgrading the components I need to.
I miss streaming/video editing/commenting on gaming and this might finally be the year I say fukk it and cop a rig that can handle processor intensive tasks

By the time WiFi 7 is common place that console will be outdated. It never pays to buy WiFi routers early.Pack it up guys if you dont have Wifi 7 according to Sony stans your build is inferior without Wifi 7

Impossible to predict. Theoretically, you'd only need to replace the 4090 if you go full out right now., but who knows what GPU prices will be in 5 years.
But you should probably wait til DDR6 and compatible mobos get released next year.

I use my pc more for productivity and multitasking, i'm not interested in playing the latest releases with ray tracing and other crap

Yeah I tried it in all of my single player games and it works well. Basically doubles your fps. Frame gen lag stayed under 10ms for every game except cyberpunk and that was at like 12-14msNew update dropped for AMD GPUs
