So I'll probably retire my 1660 ti at the end of the year. With all the new games coming, I need something that can at least let me game at 1440p high at 60 fps. I'll go green because I'll need that card profesionnally for renders so RTX is a must.

I'm eyeing a 4070 but I was wondering if the price jump for the 4070 is worth it. In France, the 4070 is around 700€ but the ti is 1k€:dwillhuh:

I've read that there maybe a 4070 Super in the oven that may or may not have 16gb VRAM which would be great for me above all if price wise, it lands between the 4070 and the 4070 ti.
Go ahead and get that 4070, breh. Nvidia is more than likely working on the 50 series right now, so I don't think there'll be a 40 Super lineup. If you don't saving a little more money, there's the AMD RX 7800 XT and that has 16 GB VRAM if that something that you're looking for.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that performance wise, the 7800 XT is between the 4070 Ti and the regular 4070.

I'm a casual gamer and I play like 5 meters from my TV. No need to max out everything tbf :manny:

But I'd like to play Cities Skylines and Forza so now is the time to finally make the jump. Any input on 4070 vs 4070 ti ?
Literally anything would be an upgrade over your current card. It also depends on your monitor. Going to need a decent one to let your card really shine. A 4070 TI can get you 100fps at 1440p on a lot of games. It would be a waste to pair it with some trash ass 1080p monitor.

I game on my 55' LG B9.

I think I'll settle for a 4070, I'm fine with high settings and 50-60 fps, no need for ultra everything for me, I'm a casual.

I'll also upgrade my ram from 2x8gb @3000mhz to 2x16gb @3200. I built my current PC in 2019 and I upgraded my mobo to a Ryzen 5600x 2 years ago so with my new gpu I should be ok for 2-3 years imo.

thanks, didn't know this was a thing, wonder why none of the pc builder youtubers use one
The big names do use test benches a lot because they are always testing out new components. I'll never build again without first testing on a test bench. I do water cooled loops, so it's a real pain in the ass to take apart everything if a component is faulty. I shoulda used test benches earlier

Yeah, there will definitely be a super series. So, I'd wait if I were you.

I've been using shadow pc since July but I'm ready to fully get into pc gaming. I've done a good amount of research and I'm going to get a pre built from best buy

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6560625.p?skuId=6560625

CPU: RYZEN 9 7900x
GPU: RX 7800 XT
2tb ssd
64gb of ram

I already have a 4k monitor. I did want to get something with an nvidia gpu since I think my monitor has some features that work with it but I couldn't find anything that beats the price and performance combo of the pc Imma end up buying and it's way under my original budget.

Is there a way to install GPY driver without the gpu in the system?
I might have a dead gpu but i can't tell for sure. Not getting video output, so i tried uninstalling the gpu driver after taking out the gpu and , hoping to reinstall it. Now i can't install the driver anymore.

if the GPU works, it should display something using the default Windows driver. if you're getting no output, it's probably dead

Looks like it. Sometimes the fan spins so i had some hope. Might try reinstalling windows to see if the default drivers are working properly.

Just build an AMD PC with quality parts. Most the prebuilts only use good components like cpu and gpu and the rest is cheap trash especially best buy PCs. If u gonna go prebuild then go CLX or something better than a chain store like Best Buy

If you are building this for gaming, i'd replace the CPU with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D
