Buy a 3080 or waste your money get a 3070, anything else is a waste of money and time that’s all that needs to be said.

Different regions have different access based on location, so I don’t think it will work. Also, Steam could ban you for that. Probably not going to happen, but not worth the risk in my opinion
I bought it solely because (cyberpunk and 8K TV for XSX/PS5) I paid very close to sticker once you factor in taxes than going through a flipper with a 3080. In my local FB marketplace 3090 were going for 1700-2100, 3080 1100-1300.
After some provided testing going off the 6800xt, the 6900xt would not be a good option for 8K tv gaming because 16GB is limiting at that resolution.
My biggest gripe with 3090 is it’s compute power is terrible unless you are a 3D artist. The 3080 is so close in performance because this isn’t a titan card. 3090 workstation drivers are very bad. In most cases for workstation test it’s behind by 10-15% which makes the additional 14gb of vram useless; where the RTX Titan used 24gb vram to it’s advantage compared to the 2080ti. Same goes with the 6800XT/6900XT, buy the 6800XT if you have a free sync only display that’s the only other case here. 6900XT is a waste. For everyone else get the 3080 or 3070. If you own a 2080ti, don’t even bother upgrading.
The 3080 is the 1080ti all over again.

I feel I was bout to gave get a 3090, the gigabyte gaming OC was going for 1700 I guess the scalpers having a hard time moving them, and someone by had a the founder edition they wanted 1900, but I was like fukk that, I sold my 3080 I brought from a scalper because reality kicked I paid 300-400 more, I sold the shyt and got my money back, and was just going wait to the MSRP price, because I wasn't even gaming like that anyway, the 3080ti suppose to release next month for 999.99 I already got me a best buy bot I'ma see I can get one of those
I have a hard time believing nvidia will release a 3090 level of performance 3080 a few months later. But this is nvidia they have done everything you wouldn't believe a company would do.

i mean the 3080 and the 3090 are already the same level of performance , the 3080ti will lack the NVLINK connector, only draw 320 wats like 3080, and have the 320 bit memory bus instead of the 384-bit

Even at 1000, it's not worth paying over 700 (3080).

I'm kind made I sold my 3080 now, I figured stock with have got better but its gotten worst, I might just buy from a scalper again as long as they have receipt, use my bot to fish until i get one from msrp and then sell it for a scalper price to basically have it pay for itself
I almost caved and got the 3090 but glad I didn't because 700 difference in price is still 700 whether its the base price or scalped

Since I mostly play on the OLED anyway, I just put my shyt next to the PS5. When I go back to one bigger monitor I'll probably move it back to the desk, but it makes for a nice view of the entertainment center for the time being
