Son I been taking L’s left n right on everything. Lol
You still haven't gotten the 3080 or PS5? I'm actually fine with my choice for now with the 1660 TI. Runs games fine at UW resolution and I got at least 90 days to get into the queue for the step up which will give me time to enjoy the 5. I knew realistically I wouldn't have time to juggle a brand new console with mad games + a PC.

I gave up on the 3080 cause I have a 2080TI and they apparently got the 3080TI dropping in January, so imma wait for that. I also didn’t go for the PS5 preorder cause I was so focused on the 3080 at that point so I missed out on both bro. I’m kickin myself right now. I can’t get any luck on any of these sites. Hopefully I can hit on Walmart today.

How many of you have switched completely from standard HDD to SSD for your storage drive? I have a Samsung 840 Evo SSD for my OS drive and a few 2TB SATA hdd's for storage. Thinking about getting rid of the older tech drives and switching then to SSD Sata or M.2 drives.

I did this last week along with the rest of my upgrades. Honestly, I should’ve done it earlier.

At least 5 years. Anything that i want to hold on to for awhile i put on an external drive and keep my drive open only for games and programs i use now.

I just grabbed a AMD Ryzen 9 5900x. Grabbing all the parts to build my first PC.
This begs the question, where are we falling on money vs performance on these new Zen CPU's? is the 5800X the sweet spot? or is it worth the extra $100 for the 5900 :jbhmm:

anyone have any motherboard recommendations for PCIE4 assuming a Ryzen CPU :jbhmm:

Id get the 5900x personally. And if I were to get a motherboard to pair it with - id go x570. Specifically the Asrock Taichi.

Apparently 5800x is the worst option.

I have a MSI MPG Gaming Edge WIFI x570 board, I am using it for a 2700x. Great board with PCIE4 support and 3rd gen Ryzen chips. USB 3.1 and 3.2 ports, BT, and Wifi.
