Hoping LG can successfully turn their OLED TV's into reasonably priced 40" PC monitors. The C9 TV can do 4K/120Hz now.

Oh yea the monitors are there, I’m just waiting on a system to reliably push it with high settings. That Predator wasn’t OD expensive, so hopefully the 3080ti can do it, and I can pair that with a replacement for my 4k60 monitor

Finally went ahead and made a move :wow:

1080p is officially out. 1440/144 and 4k60 are my only options. 4k/144 one day to replace the 4k60, hopefully before I’m :flabbynsick:

I’m WFH for the forseeable future so I went ahead and upgraded the whole setup: ordered a Steelcase Leap and a bigger desk that’s adjustable to standing :banderas: plus I’m putting the monitors on mounts now so I’m rearranging the whole desktop

Is this a good monitor for my setup:

I'm getting back on it. I got occupied and busy and ignored getting the rest of my parts for my build.

My current parts: System Builder Bought everything except the drives.

Getting soon:

Case: Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Haven't decided on a keyboard, mouse and monitor. I want dual monitors but I don't have the room...so probably a good 27 inch.

Thoughts and recommendations..?

This will be mostly a non-gaming PC as I game on PS4 whenever I do play something. I do like the Civilization series so I play that some but that's about it.

I'm looking for a 32" HDR monitor that works for video editing/photo editing as well as gaming. I currently have an ASUS PB278Q, it's serviceable but I'm ready to upgrade.. I'm looking for a monitor with better color accuracy (95-99% sRGB accuracy), G Sync, decent HDR capabilities and a minimum of 1440p. Any suggestions?

Can't wait to build my new rig. Rtx 3000 series, pcie 4.0 Intel should be later this year. If Intel don't go pcie 4.0 this year i'm going AMD for the CPU.

Playing on a potato for now. Just got RDR2 (gonna replay when i upgrade) for $35. If you know you know :sas2:

Wanted to share this as I just bought an NAS to use partially as a home media server and cloud storage. Ran into an issue where my Samsung smart devices wouldn't play MKV files through the DLNA service. Did some googling and found the PS3 Media Server app, installed it on the pc within a few minutes it found my Samsung devices and everything plays just fine from the NAS.

Yeah I realize that. I still want a 1440p for the couple of games I will play every now and then.

Even then, the performance you’re paying for is gonna be in AAA games. It will do you well, but I don’t think you need ULMB, g-sync, or even 144hz for light gaming. I only keep consoles for exclusives so I put more resources into the PC.

For light gaming, I would stick to 1080p or 4k

Not yet, but i believe the PS5 uses pcie 4. So games made with it in mind should see an improvement. Pcie 5 is some years away as well. But nobody waiting for that.
the PS5 basically has a PCIe 4 SSD that feeds data directly to the GPU. it won't be like that on PC, and that kind of configuration probably wouldn't be good for non gaming applications on PC

I do hope we see games on PC that take advantage of SSD speeds, but it won't be the same as the PS5
