World exclusive: MSI’s GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO
We have first pictures of upcoming custom GeForce RTX graphics card from MSI.

MSI’s GAMING X TRIO is a triple-fan design with fancy (and obligatory at this point) RGB lighting. The backplate is silver (brushed aluminum?).

The card features the new Type-C VirtualLink connector and NVLink. NVIDIA abandoned SLI connector for the RTX series.

The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GAMING X TRIO is equipped with dual 8-pin power connectors.

More custom cards will be unveiled on Monday. We have more pictures to share soon. Stay tuned.

A bonus: GeForce RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO ;)

NVIDIA RTX 2080 Series: 4352 and 2944 CUDA cores
What we know: GeForce RTX 2080 Ti packs 11GB and 352-bit memory (just as GTX 1080 Ti). What is new is the GDDR6 memory clocked at 14 Gbps. This increased the maximum theoretical bandwidth to 616 Gb/s (that’s 132 Gb/s more).

We can confirm that GeForce RTX 2080 Ti features 4352 CUDA cores, that’s fewer than Quadro RTX 6000/8000, which both feature 4608 unified shaders.

The GeForce RTX 2080 is an 8GB 256-bit model. It is equipped with 2944 CUDA cores, not 3072 as previously speculated. This means GeForce RTX 2080 lost 128 CUDA cores from TU104 GPU compared to Quadro RTX 5000.

We also have clocks and TDP values, but since the origin of the data may suggest these are non-reference models, we will release this information later.

Here’s another model you did not see before. This is not AORUS card, so likely just called GAMING (OC):

Copping the 2080ti the second it is up for sale. No sli bridge and 3 fans (which I’m guessing blow down) is basically telling us that sli is dead :francis:

Also, I am still dead @ how computers are shipping with mechanical hard drives as the main storage device. I am messing with a Dell 2-1 which the specs are actually not too bad for what they go for, but the hard drive :merchant:

The Hard Drive is the only thing in the machine that makes any noise and its CRAZY slow. Windows is STILL updating and I started working on it 2 1/2 HOURS ago :dead:

For the games that support it, it really pays off. Unfortunately, those games are few and far between :francis:

If nvidia is trying to promote 4K 144hz, they better either support sli better or release the new cards with monster specs.

That slow and painful upgrade cycle without legit competition :mjcry:

Yo about 7 hours working on windows updates :ohhh:

How does Microsoft even allow the use of mechanical drives as main storage drives these days? This is crazy

"up to date" and the goddamn drive is showing 100% usage at idle. I really didn't want to spend extra on such a low end machine with a specific task, but this is brutal. Apparently things get better after a few days so we will see.

Not confident :francis:

Fresh install of windows. Nothing to defrag :francis:

I might short stroke it to see if that helps :francis:

5 messages about windows. Install a SSd, end of story

I7-9700k and nvidia 2080gtx and doubt ill make a computer for 5 years after lol

That's what we all said. But honestly at 8 cores, (you should get the other one), you'll be fine for a long time. Now it's up to game manufacturers to catch up

40 pcie lanes is a big step up for intel if they decide to do that. But SLi/crossfire is nearly dead
Maybe it's for nvme drives and other expansion cards
