I know for a fact he wasn't overclocking it and @Ciggavelli i9 7900x has a 120mm aio, which he hasn't complained about.
120mm aio is the same has a decent air cooler. It only makes a difference once you start to overclock your cpu and need
stability that a 240/280/360 and higher radiators/aio are necessary

I am heavy into watercooling and overclock, don't disrespect me. Owned all brand Aio's and custom loop's. :gucci:

True but the apple is worse and for that price difference is unacceptable. They have all of the budget to get all of those kinks out.
*conspiracy theory* apple is getting worse i9 chips because they are planning on making their own processors.
Yeah, no problems at stock. If I want to overclock it though, I'll need something better. The 7900X gets hot pretty quickly when testing with Aida64. Luckily, I haven't had a need to overclock it at all. It boosts to 4.2ghz on all cores, out of the box.

What do your temps look like when encoding or gaming?

60-70c when encoding (I just tried this recently) and the same for CPU intensive gaming. I got it to reach low 80c when using Aida64 for a while, but I don't see those temps in real-world applications

I’ve had qbittorent open for like a week straight, so that I could download the x264 4K version of American Gods Season 1. After painfully slow downloads, all but one episode is finished. (Each episode is like 20gb :whew:)

The goddamn X1X media player crashes when watching it :dead:

Strangely enough, it doesn’t skip while using the included media player on my LG 4K OLED though. :jbhmm:

Before this, I had just assumed the X1X would certainly be more robust at 4K than my TV. Turns out my goddamn TV is more powerful than my supposed “4K monster console.”

How the fukk is my TV, which doesn’t have a gpu and, what I’m guessing is, a very weak cpu, run shyt better than a goddamn next gen console specializing in 4K? :beli:

However, even while hard wired, I’m not getting enough bandwidth to stream 4K content straight off my TV. I don’t have this problem on my X1X though. I guess it’s good at something at least :patrice:

What OLED do you have? I've got the 2016 65'' B6 model. I don't need to use anything else besides the built in apps, it handles everything smooth as shyt, even over wifi.

I have the C6, 55”. I have Comcast, unfortunately, and I have this suspicion that they’re throttling my TVs. They occasionally throttle my X1X, and I just change some ports or whatever the fukk, and I’m back to normal bandwidth. If I had any other option for an ISP, I’d take it, but alas, I don’t.

I’ve called Comcast and told them they’re throttling me, as I’ll get 70 down on my PC, but only 10 on my X1X. And they’re like nah, we’re not. :comeon:

There may be some kind of issue with the OLEDs and wire connections. I've read from other spots that people have more issues than wifi. I've been using wifi since jump, so I can't compare.

I noticed the same. I'm assuming it's some codec support issue, or the player on the TV is designed to be looser. I can stream the same 4K rip off of my NAS with no problem direct to the TV, chokes on anything else:stopitslime:, Plex or not.

I applied for a job (RnD engineer), they run their autonomous driving here in jersey. They were interested, sworn I said that in here before

They are only working on the technology parts, autonomous cars are run through onboard computers/gpu's.

Didn't you want to buy a Tesla? You know that's why they are partnered together right? :russ:

Yeah, I’m seriously considering buying a Tesla. I don’t need to drive more than 200 miles at a time. I don’t think :patrice:

A bunch of people at work have them, which is actually hilarious, given I work for an outrageously big oil and gas company. :dead:

Those Model 3s keep coming up in the news, in a bad way though. I gotta do some more research :jbhmm:

Get a used Model S or X (becareful with the X)
Model 3 isn't worth it w/ correct situations
The new Porsche Taycan, now that's a electric car to buy and it only starts at 75K :myman:

edit* it's 10K more starting at 85K wtf...
