Cigg you stay going overboard big fella. Relax, don't burn out your retina's and get an honest 32-40 inch. Your eyeballs will thank you in the long run. :ehh:
Strangely enough, my eyes have gone to shyt since I bought my first 32” monitor late last year. Maybe you’re right; I’ve never though of it like that :merchant:

Is it possible that 32” is too much to have in your face (and then multiple that by 2)? When going overboard goes wrong :francis:

My "friend" had a 50 inch, used to game all the time, had to get a smaller one (42 inch) due to his eyesight going blurry...

I lied, it was me, I'm an idiot who games for too many hours, far too closely to the tv. :snoop: Nothing permanent, just giving you some insight before shyt goes south.

I appreciate it. I’m gonna have to keep a close eye on this (no pun intended).

If I really gotta go smaller, I guess this gives me justification to buy one of those new 27” 4K, 144hz monitors. :jbhmm:

I’m going to the eye doctor soon, so we’ll see what the doc says :jbhmm:

They'll drop in price once people start buying 4gb cards while the Ryzen does all the hard work. AMD really outdid themselves, I don't see Intel taking over, anytime soon. If you're only into gaming, Ryzen has you for the next 10 years...easy.
Right after I brought the 2700X after reading the reviews and the bench Mark's I couldn't find a reason to pass on it.

Finally finishing ordering all my PC parts for the new rig two hardest choices I had was buying a gpu now or waiting for the new series and the 8700k vs 2700X... For the Gpu I went with renting one for 70$ a month with a return or upgrade option at any time that way when the new gpu's drop if I cant manage to get one before they sell out I have one until they restock.
Now this was the ruff part for years Amd was clowned for their cpus, but after doing more reviews then any I have ever did I seen people hard pressed to say what was the better cpu, It ended with more supporting the 2700X has it will be better overall for video editing and streaming.
Here's the parts I went with.
2700X
P5 Case by Thermaltake
3200 16GB G.Skill RGB
850 Gold RGB psu Thermaltake
Gigabyte Arous Gaming 7 X470 mobo
2TB Seagate Firecuda Hardrive
250GB 970
Srtix 1070 ti Rented
Cant wait to until the parts arrive.

@LÍQUIDO @itsyoung!! @Ciggavelli I'm looking for a decent priced 1440p monitor yall got anything yall can recommend?
I dont game on 1440 yet so not the person for that answer sorry

I agree you should return your 2700x and buy a 1700. 100 dollars on a better gpu so you can change your 1070 ti for either a 1080 or 1080 ti.
better gpu > .2-.3 increase in cpu overclock which 99% of users will not do with stock cooler.

and you will probably want to wait for the 10 core ryzen 7 2800x for video editing.

Don't listen to them, multiple monitors >>>>>> single bullshyt
I do agree you probably should of not bought the 1440 if it cost north of 800 dollars and sold the 4K monitor now, get the Acer 4k 144hz monitor (we assumed it'd cost 2500 at first, not 2000)

I'm thinking of selling both my 4k monitors and just finding the next batch of Acer monitor.
Perfect Combo is 4K 144hz, 1080 with 240hz and 3440x1440 100/120hz or next 3440x1440 200hz

But then again it's all dependent on the person, budget, and wants. Remember in 2011-2012 1080 120hz monitor cost 600 dollars.

If any eyes are going dry from computer use. It's usually because the lighting in your room, too much gaming (eyes aren't blinking at much) or you aren't drinking enough fluids/water

Sounds about right for sale price , Great pick up for anyone who needs OS drive (samsung gives you a duplication tool so you there nothing complicated) or if you are like me and need fast for data mining. I'm going to put them in raid in tr4 with that I've bought 2 previous but nvme especially from samsung are still so expensive.
ASUS HYPER M.2 x16 PCIe Expansion Card HYPER M.2 X16 CARD B&H

They can get hot, make sure you have front fans blowing in that direction where it's located in the motherboard

I'm not really strapped for cash, I just didn't want to invest in a 1080 ti even with how strong it is currently and a month later we get a new gpu line. Pascal been out for like two years now, Its a rock and a hard spot for me. If we don't get any news of a new gpu line by the end of June I guess I'm bite the bullet and get a 1080 ti. As far as over clocking goes for everything I have read with the 2700X could result in poorer performance in most cases because of the technology on it. I'm gonna buy that Termaltake cooling kit just in case.

goddamn and just completely missed this, now I agree you should wait so you can either get a older gen cheaper or buy new.

new gpu's must be coming
399.99 for a 1080 :snoop:
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING, 08G-P4-5180-RX, 8GB GDDR5X

If you aren't doing some form of core intensive task, I'd tell you just to pick up a ryzen 5 1600x or 2600/2600x) or i5 8400/8600k but if you are like videoediting i7 8700/8700k (only buy K if you know how to overclock and will buy a good cooler)

Ryzen is not worth custom cooling your cpu unless you already have materials beside block or you are also watercooling your gpu through the same loop.

What monitor are you using? if it's a 1080/144hz get a 1060 6gb or 1070, if a 1080 or 1080 ti get a 1440/144hz or 4k monitor

-----------------------

Here is a 1070 ti for 450-499 dollars

Introducing the GeForce GTX 1070Ti Graphics Card: Gaming Perfected

1070 ti hybrid evga - 499.99

Monitor I haven't brought one yet outside of the old 1080p 144hz ine I already have, I'm looking at some of the ones you guys recommending me for 1440p. The reason for 2700X instead of going the i7 route was for the video editing while the i7 is good at editing to some degree it suffering bad when you stream with it on the viewer side, basically with the i7 the better quality you stream the worse the cpu takes a hit, with the 2700X it handles it much better this dudes video was crazy to see how well the 2700X handles everything.

Agreed, I couldn't remember if you video edit or not. I'd still suggest you get a ryzen 7 1700 cost 199.99 at microcenter (especially if you have a microcenter by you or can call up some store like newegg/bestbuy/amazon and ask for a price match) and save 120 dollars on a cpu and not have to buy a cooler. But if you are doing heavy rendering and streaming, I'd suggest you but do what you want breh
