that will be good enough for playback. rendering will mostly cpu intensive. ddr4 ram prices are crazy. 32gb is good but 64gb is the sweet spot. but id wait to get more ram when it gets cheaper

You're straight. I have the same combo and playing at 1440p.

Only game I don't average over or near 100fps is AC:O (the optimization is trash)

For reference, these are a few other games where I get great performance at 1440p

Witcher 3
BF1
Battlefront 2
Wolfenstein 2
GTA V

Is that monitor G-Sync?
