I'm getting fed up with my mechanical keyboard. This is the 2nd one I got(I had the 1st one replaced through warranty.) It's the Thermaltake one.

First I had chattering keys and I used a program to fix it and now it's worse . My "w" key sometimes doesn't even register and it makes typing a nuisance since I'm constantly making errors.
reading reviews on newegg, everyone has the same issue. fukk them off-brand switches :camby:

I'm planing on building a desk top soon. I want to be able to play rts games with no issue and run skyrim with mods and play gmod. It'll also be used for work so office and photoshop will be added. I'm trying to keep it under a grand. Any suggestions?

What's a reliable keyboard you'd recommend? I don't need no high end gaming keyboard with 18 macro keys and super HDR backlighting. Just something for typing and occasional gaming. I like Cherry MX Blues btw.

Razer makes good mechanical keyboards. I own two of them. They're not overly pricey either

Someone on here recommended me this site when I was in the planning stages. This should help you out.

Pick parts. Build your PC. Compare and share. - PCPartPicker

I don't know how tough it will be to keep it under a grand tho. The graphics card will probably take up half your budget if it's a decent one or unless you get a sale on one. I just spent bout $600 on one but it's a newer card. You can use that site to play around with compatibility and follow the prices on other retailers. Look for good sales. Be patient with it.

I actually went there a few times. Not gone lie. Lost as hell. See this is my first build and all I know I would told get either an amd or Intel cpu and that a quad core would be good for what I want. I was looking at going octo though. The long time this thing will be pushed is if I load a bunch of dumb shyt in you skyrim. Other than that, it's only seeing gmod, skyrim and fallout with silly mods, and rts like company of heros 2.

You could go with something like this

System Build - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core, GeForce GTX 1070 8GB QUICK ... - PCPartPicker

Play around with different cases, ram speeds(don't go below 2400mhz if you build with amd), and storage to adjust the prices down to what you need. Since you'll only be playing RTS and skyrim, you could swap out the 1070 for either an GTX 1060 or Rx 580, maybe even a 1050 ti.

I have Corsair k70 and a Ducky One. both are great

you can find the Corsair joints pretty cheap if you get the non-rgb

I was thinking of selling my 2 Titan X (pascals) for the Titan Xp, but the benefits are essentially a non-issue, as it only gives your a few extra frames.

I need that next gen Titan that will eventually come. I wanna move to just 1 card for 4K and 5K gaming. SLI is just a disaster now. It's a fukking waste of money. These companies don't give a shyt about SLI and shyt. It's kinda fukked up, if you ask me. It's not even hard to implement, as so many indie games allow for sli. I don't get why AAA companies can't seem to be bothered to add SLI. shyt pisses me off
