what about Fez?The GTX 1070 will play Splinter Cell Blacklist great.
Seems like the 1070 is a great card even for 4K. Reading online users are reporting it to even hold 60fps even on high settings among a lot of games give or take a couple settings that can be bumped. Usually the typical setting or two that can be bumped down with minimum fidelity loss e.g. shadow resolution, ambient occlusion types, anti aliasing(I find AA at 4K pretty much unnecessary) so that sounds right up my alley.what about Fez?
Are you on 4K? If not, even a GTX 1060 is a significant upgrade.Seems like the 1070 is a great card even for 4K. YEARS? The 1070 is barely a 4K card on the PC if you are looking to stay on V. High/Ultra. You might want to look towards a GTX 1080 if that's the case.I'm on a 4K.
The 1060 is not enough for me. A 1070 looks to be enough for a few years.
A GTX 1080 alone still won't give locked 60fps on most games at 4K so aiming for V high/ultra isn't my priority. Most games have settings that tank performance for minimal visual boosts. I've already toy'd around with my old card at 4K and even then I can manage with that.YEARS? The 1070 is barely a 4K card on the PC if you are looking to stay on V. High/Ultra. it trades blows with my 980ti. 4K 60fps is gonna be a struggle with a lot of modern gamesSeems like the 1070 is a great card even for 4K. I'm perfectly fine with 4K 30fps but idk I might wait it out. I'm in no rush.it trades blows with my 980ti. 4K 60fps is gonna be a struggle with a lot of modern games
better off saving your money for the Scorpio

What's wrong? A perfectly frame paced 30FPS is fine. You don't have issues when playing Forza Horizon do you? 60 is better but I'm not eschewing 30FPS.
relax, this is an extreme example. 95% of the games I play on PC are already hitting 60fps this is just an extreme case where I can't hit a steady 60fps at all. Not sure why y'all acting like this is crazy when one of y'alls regularly play 30fps on Xbox One and even says it's the best version of the game *cough* @Ciggavelli *cough* FH3* *cough* I'm sure @____ is going to pretend I'm lying.
He is after that "cinematic" feel
what's with you guys and your 30fps aversion?? Nobody is saying 30fps is better here. I'm saying if in an extreme case where I absolutely cannot play above 30fps at my native res despite lowering visual settings I"ll just settle for a locked 30fps until I upgrade. Can you guys even read? You dudes so quick to jump to conclusions. I'm not saying I'm going to buy a 1060 or w/e just to play at 4K/30fps. I'm in this thread asking for suggestion/tips and y'all in here dikk measuring. shyt like this is why I can't stand some of y'all PC cats. Always acting weird over a simple comment. He is after that "cinematic" feel
Yeah, something like this is what I mean. Shocking.Yeah, I'm not a straight 60fps guy. I aim for 45fps and ultra myself. 30 is a little low, but I'll deal with it if it's stable.
I know, I know I said graphics don't matter, but they do help with immersion (and you make sacrifices when you play on 3 monitors)
60 fps and ultra is obviously the best though. That's not always possible at ultra high resolutions.
