That was an interesting spin on anti-gay societies. I had never given any thought to Moclans being interested in females and it is just another brick added to the layers of that culture that signals a schism between them and the Planetary Union.

Bortus' husband has been a nonstop a$$hole since he first showed up so I expect something bad to happen to him before too long.

The year 3030
I'm curious if they'll become the enemy of the season, after Ed mentioned why they keep them in the Union, when they disagree with a lot of their cultural practices.

I could see them breaking out of the union and Bortus having to decide which side he's on

I am expecting them to break off soon and be The Orville's version of the OG Klingons in Star Trek.

This episode did a good job of differentiating Talla from Alara. When she brought up Bortus's daughter I was like :picard:. God damn, that was a low blow. Definitely not something Alara would have said, since she was there and would have had more knowledge of Moclan culture.

No Whammies!!
The latest episode was legitimately a great episode, by any standard IMO.

I actually saw the "twist" coming as soon as you saw the ship descending over skyscrapers. I was thinking "who built all this stuff? :ohhh:AI's don't need to live like that......what happened to the builders? :picard:"

They're basically the geth from Mass Effect, with a power level somewhere in between the Cylons and the Borg.

Surprised it took this long to finally get Scott Grimes singing on this show, considering how much it happens on American Dad.

I was expecting a Borg-like adversary on this show sooner or later but I wasn't expecting it to be Isaac's people and I definitely wasn't expecting Isaac to be all in with eradicating humanity.
When he dropped the Doctor's kid's drawing like it was trash I was like: that's some cold-blooded shyt.
I hope he doesn't pull a last minute turn to side with the Orville crew because I was liking how Isaac kept things on that logic level no matter what situation he was in.

He will change his mind.
