The irony is of course that saying we're deluded is in fact the most deluded thing being said in this thread. Their only hope in this tournament is that OUR hopes are dashed, as though they were huge expectations.

I'd be disappointed as we're now in a good position to qualify.
And we're only a source of comedy to clowns like you, who from the outside take everything the English media/people literally, instead of how it's supposed to be taken, with a huge pinch of salt. And then when we do inevitably lose you throw it in our faces and say how crap we are, as though you're being ground breaking, and saying this great undiscovered truth we didn't know about.
In the past we've been prone to thinking we're maybe a bit better than we are, but it's understandable considering some of the players we've had.
But now we know exactly where we are, before the tournament 90% of people realistically expected us to go out in the group stages/quarter finals. You live in London, how do you not know this? Or are you choosing to ignore it to try and laugh at a country that already laughs at itself?

We showed a lot of spirit, which is all the country has asked for in the last few years. It was great to see.
We've got some great young players like Welbeck who we can be proud of.
