Shrek is the Ronaldo of England and I've never seen him play particularly well internationally. Maybe Roy has gotten in his head but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get an early yellow after getting frustrated. He's in an even worst situation than Balotelli, and is actually just as if not more of a disciplinary problem.

I'd personally rather just keep the team chemistry. If they start hoofing the ball up to him...

Oh and, I actually am rooting for England but don't hate on Steel town. They've won more in their short history than England shall win in the next century....

You're missing the part where Rooney is playing up front with Danny. Their chemistry up front is proper. When England play Rooney with anyone else he has to do everything by himself because none of their other attacking players are versatile. Danny is going to be up top most of the time with Rooney roaming behind him, but they can invert those roles or just play parallel to each other and both drop deep and work the ball up on goal together.

Rooney's gonna eat like he never has in a tournament before.
