I think this is going to last much longer.

The Bank of Canada does not store gold. We are the only fukking G7 country that is not fully prepared for the incoming financial revolution and revaluing of Gold by the USA. Canadians don't know how unprepared and screwed this country really is. The US will be able to weather the storm coming.

We can get angry all we want with the US, but it is incompetent canadian politicians, and stupid canadian voters, that made us vulnerable to this attack.

We just went through hell with this trash government, and you got Canadians ready to re-elect the liberals with Trudeau's advisor leading the party.

I give up on this country.

I don't dont want to see Canadians lose their jobs over stupidness, so I hope it does get rolled back.

If Canadian politicians continue to lead a horribly under diversified, heavily commodity based, housing bubble reliant economy, we will be played like rag dolls again.

This should be a lesson these dumbos never forget.
Canada Ranked 4th in the world in total resources
Yet half of the gdp tied to housing and insurance Scust …
Phonzi scheme economy

It really is our fault. Putting all of our eggs into one basket really screwed us over. It was a stupid move. Even more stupid was us souring our relationship with both China and India, the world's manufacturers, to appease America. Then the same America turns around and stabs us in the back with a 12 inch blade.

At this point I think anyone above the age of 25 should be looking outside the country to work and live.

Canada is toast for the next few decades.
I've been seriously considering this. I'm barely interested in buying real estate in Canada at this point, unless the shyt tanks.

:sas1: You want Canadians to stop rent-seeking?

You want Canadians to put their saving funds in the TSX?

:mjlol:

The greatest aspiration of a Torontonian is to be a landlord.

I've sowed my seeds in Brazil, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, etc... I know expats in the philipines, thailand, and some other carib countries. It's not difficult to buy property in the above countries, but if is important you know the right people so you don't get swindled.

I suggest you travel to the place you would like to live/work in, and do your research on the country. You need to develop a certain comfort level with the culture/people/language. Also, you have to get comfortable living a different kind of life over there. Some goods/services won't exist or the level of quality might not be up to par. The reverse is also true depending on where you live

All in all, Canada ain't it anymore it is going to take too long to fix all of these problems.

The new Canadian dream is to leave Canada.

One can only dream that canadians will finally wake up from their self-induced hypnosis.

Most of us are born of immigrant families, and our people aspired to buy land and build back home. Over here, it is to buy an over-priced pos and rent it out so someone else can pay off the ridiculous mortgage.

Btw, the mortgage crisis won't be fixed until 2050+.

Fixed.

I was looking for the article i read from cmhc some days ago, and didn't realize i didn't source them correctly.

"All-in-all, from design of a project to filtering that makes housing attainable, it takes 25 to 30 years before new housing supply is delivered and its full impact on lower rents or prices is felt. This is far too long for Canadians looking for an attainable housing unit option. It's much too long to see the end of our current housing crisis"

Essentially, if you are 25+, housing affordability won't return until you are 50 to 55 years old.

Just in time for early retirement, if it remains that age by then :dead:
