Anyone got a guide on basic finance, like how much money to put in rrsp vs tfsa? Last year I just put 6k in the rrsp, I think 4k the year before. I know this ain't the right thread but deadline coming up and I still have no clue. I'm 28 if that matters trying to cop a crib, god willing 4 years from now in a different province

In finance, but on the technology side, so don't have that much knowledge on investments

Rule of thumb that I've been told:

Pay off consumer debt prior to really investing in rrsp/tfsa

Assuming you have the capital to invest, contributing to registered accounts (rrsp) can help lower tax brackets, max out your limit if you can afford to (remember thus is money you shouldn't need to touch until your 60s)

I have a tfsa and I don't think I've ever used it :dwillhuh:

$160,000 💀

So they scammed hundreds of thousands, potentially millions with a dash of identity theft and only get charged with two accounts of fraud? :mjlol:

We doing it all wrong brehs. This system is cooked. Can’t even imagine the amount of fraud slipping through the cracks when you know nothing can happen to you. Wild

Or maybe canadian tire is garbage which is why people aren't spending their money there anymore. Past ten years I've only bought winter tires there and didn't dare let them put it on.

Adapt or get left behind, even their online site doesn't even offer free shipping.
