The guideline does not apply to:

  • new buildings, additions to existing buildings and most new basement apartments that are occupied for the first time for residential purposes after November 15, 2018

its newer than 2018 so not rent controlled :picard: , even if it is rent controlled many landlords will prob try and offload their condos now with these new interest rates

20% down on a 1.4 million dollar home which is a semi in Vaughan

Monthly mortgage amount and that’s putting it conservatively (7,000 dollars)

The down payment is good enough to put 60% down on a nice size property in the South.

We are freezing 8 months of the year for fukks sake.

:damn:

When my folks bought their house in Vaughan they paid 550 for a 4,000 sq foot 7 bedrooms 5 washroom and this was only like 11 years ago.

I remember the condos at hwy 7 and Weston were 250,000 this was just five years ago

this is in houston texas

when you see stuff like this i don't blame anyone if they can get a us working visa and a job to get the hell out

I'm starting to worry about interest rates and long term inflation. Monetary and fiscal policy are so out of sync. Federal and provincial goals and responsibilities are so out of sync. I don't really see a way out of this for Canada, tbh.

Anyone that's looking for a cheap rental should apply to this lottery. They got 1-4 bedroom apartments and townhouses by the distillery district. Rents are between $1,538 and $2,587. There are income requirements that are based on how many bedrooms you need. I haven't seen a minimum but the max for 1 bedroom is $73,824. This is just a lottery you have to apply for and it costs nothing to do it.

I applied last year for a different building complex thinking nothing of it and won. I just moved into my new spot a couple of months ago.
