I called the Ontario Minister of health to inquire about the vaccine passport exemption based on religion. All the information that's on their website pertains to medical exemption, they only have information on what people need to have in order to have a medical exemption. I asked them what information do they need for religious grounds, she put me on hold because their website had absolutely no information on this. She got back to me after brief hold, and said to me that they currently do not have the requirements of religious exemption, but stated that religion is one of the grounds to get an exemption.

Ontario will be restricting spectators at large sporting and entertainment events to 1,000 people amid a recent rise in COVID-19 cases.

The announcement was made on Thursday afternoon and will impact most spectator sporting events, concert venues and theatres.

As of Friday, capacity will be reduced to 50 per cent at these venues, or 1,000 people, whichever is less.

Capacity limits was reduced to 50 per cent for most indoor venues in mid-December, including restaurants, retail stores and personal care services. Larger venues were not included in this list.

As of Dec. 31, this list will expand to include indoor venues where there is a large number of spectators.

A record-breaking number of COVID-19 cases were reported on Thursday.

This is a breaking news story. More to come.

Considering the Quebec alternative, the Ontario Government for once ignored the panic merchants and did not go draconian. Overall good decision to start reporting distinguishing between hospitalisations for covid from Tim identical ones, to keep schools/gyms/businesses open, and to make PCR tests only available for symptomatic.

Doug just sealed his re-election and weeks ahead will show why.

He faced down teachers unions and the panickers using this as a cudgel to get political blood and kept schools open.

Hes ended daily case counts which means media will lose their best source of fear-mongering.

Additional data they’ll begin to report on hospitalizations with covid vs from covid will also show situation isn’t as bad as media is portraying.

This wave will peak, hospitals will be fine, and moving forward the cycles of panic every time cases go up is done with. By contrast Quebec looks ridiculous and it will be an easy thing to campaign on.

Its over Ford will get four more years.
